I LIKE THE VIDEO BECAUSE IT ACTUALLY FITS THE SONG. FOR SOME REASON I THINK COMMON AND ALICIA MAKE SUCH A CUTE COUPLE(ESPECIALLY AFTER SEEING SMOKIING ACES).

I don’t think Kerry is losing her looks either…the video is kinda gritty and urban…her role was the jilted lover…she’s in a dark depressed mood…dark rimmed eyes…dark clothes…sad expressions…it fits the mode of the video

Love the song. Love the video concept. The aesthetic of the video is very sexy yet subdued and the celeb cameos function as welcomed accoutrements rather than a distraction. Well done.

Yeah this video kills it. What I would pay to be at that dinner party. I’ve loved Common since Can I Borrow A Dollar though Russerection was a much better album. This guys is too sexy, too clever, too cl*****y, and I am so glad he got rid of that crazy harpie Erykah Badu who had him rockin crochet pants.

Kerry did a good job. She should start directing videos. Better than the coon sh*t on BET now but then a good video on a bad song is still not going to turn out well. Kerry looked crazy and pretty as she was supposed to. Alicia looked completely nice.
Video was dope with that “Indy Film” vibe to it. Refreshing to see grown and sexy black folk acting grown and sexy in a video. Could actually be spun to a mini-movie. Anybody ever think of the idea of making music videos into mini-movies that last about 30-45 minutes?
Start the video with the first verse; cut away to actual scenes that lead up to the moments in the video or show how they got to where they are. Continue doing that after each verse and then end it the way the video actually ends…. Can’t post a story board so this is the best I got…
