This Is Getting Out of Hand

It has come to our knowledge that the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts in Stone Mountain, Georgia has been vandalized. Via press release:
The first incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, October 20th, when vandals defaced the building as well as tying a noose around the neck of the bronze statue of Tupac Shakur located in the Center’s Peace Garden. The attacks are being investigated as hate crimes by the De Kalb County Sheriff’s Office. The second incident occurred at the Center at 2:00AM Monday morning when the statue was damaged further. A male has been arrested and is currently being held in custody.
The noose hung around the statue’s neck is an imitation of other cases recently reported in the media after a surge of hate crimes. The statue was also plastered with handbills of garbled rants that include references to 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina as well as vague threats against various record companies and rappers. The manner
of the attack indicates it is the work of one or more individuals.
Say what you want about Pac, but this noose racism shit lets you know that racism is alive and rampant.

This is not at the top of my list of imporatant news. We know racism is alive and well. We don’t need nooses for that.
Honestly, I’m much more concerned about some black thug robbing me (again) or someone I know than I am about some coward defacing a statute of some dead thug in the middle of the night.
Well this fool used ‘*****/*****’ (whats the difference, really?) in his songs, so it’s only fitting that his statue gets its ***** *****ed as well. On a more sensible note, the day I catch one of these racists, ah, God in heaven knows, you will so *****ing regret it!

So can you honestly say you’ve never used the word *****? So I guess they need to put a noose around your neck as well. If you really really paid attention to the kind of artist Tupac was you would have a different opinion. He was before his time with the lyrics he spit.
Even if Tupac did use words like that in his rap, the man is deceased and that needs to rest. Everyone has been called something other than their name before. It was wrong for who ever did that to his statue and it something needs to be done about. As a black person you don’t see us going to memorials of white people vandalizing them. It is all ludacris.
And for those of you who are saying just because he used the word ***** in his raps, his statue should have been vandalized you are WRONG. And don’t use “God” in your comments if you are going to threaten someone.

I am sad to read that some of your readers do not understand the significance of the Tupac Amaru Shakur Peace and Reconciliation Garden which is where his statue is located in Stone Mountain, GA on Memorial Drive. Tupac’s mom, Afeni, has a home here that Tupac purchased for her. Stone Mountain is also the home of the Confederate memorial and laser which is a t the top of the montain. Stone Mountain is also referred to in Dr. King’s “I Have A Dream” speech. Hopefully, your readers have heard of that. Stone Mountain is now the home to a predominantly black majority of middle-cl***** folks who live their lives like most black folks do: law-abiding and hard working. Stop the ignorance, read more books. Try your local libraries.

My daughter attends the PAC kids camp. It’s positive and wonderful. I wish you bossip readers would do your research before you post. Pac always wanted a place where talented kids with no money could go and develop their talent. His mother makes that possible for talented kids from all walks of life. My daughter has been a PAC kids for three years now. She a great dancer, singer, actress. This will crush her when she hears about it.
