As positive as that message attempted to be, he simply couldn’t resist being homophobic just like the rest of the ignorant rappers. Nice try, but two thumbs DOWN. Way down.

When will this thug culture finally gasp its last breath? Even this so-called “positive” song just reeks of thugism and ghettoism. These people and their music are contributing to the destruction of our community. We’ve given the world jazz, rock and roll, gospel, and R&B. Now we’re giving the world this ridiculous mess. SMH

Finally some real stuff to listen to I was tired of all the same ol crap!

@ Priorities…..I agree

@ keeping it real, just cause someone stands up against homophobia doesnt mean they’re gay….
This song is aight I give him an A for effort. He’s tryin’to change the game.
SMH at “Keeping It Real” Stupid
It’s ignorant fools like you that help lead to the self-hatred of many African-American gays and lesbians. You’re sowing the seeds of your own destruction and are too stupid to realize it. The incidence of HIV and AIDS in the black gay community is astounding. By the age of 32, close to half of young black men who have sex with men are HIV positive. They are the only group in America that has HIV incidence rates that reach the level of sub-Saharan African countries. If we don’t find a way to tackle this problem in the black gay community it will certainly spread like wildfire into the entire black population. Pushing gay people into the closet, and imposing a thuggish, homophobic, macho male culture on young black boys, straight and gay, is only exacerbating the problems we face.
Modern-day Minstrel Music
This music makes the ministrel shows of the 19th and 20th centuries look good. If white dudes in black face presented this kind of music to the world, we’d clearly see how destructive it is to our community. Whether we are destroyed by whites or by blacks, we’re still destroyed.

WTF is thugism and ghettoism?
anywway I’d alread seen this video a couple of times…but I’m having a hard time figuring out what the world wants from these hip hop artists
EZAYTHEREALEZAY
You need to realize that inversion of your sexual creation via sexual behavior is mockery of GOD who purposed you a male and therefore making you inclined by the laws of creation to the female.
There is a yoke around your head. A yoke of confusion. Your confused dude. So it doesn’t suprise me that your comments are not sound. Your not a sound thinker. THIS IS NOT GAY HATE JUST MY PERSONAL STANCE DIRECTED TO ME FROM GOD & IF U DONT KNOW THE TRUTH I’M GONNA TELL YA’LL
JESUS IS LORD
and as there were wars in the bible, this could be a war time.
Get your swords and be ready to head to the wall of Jericho my mighty men.
Is This Sarcasm?
EZAYTHEREALEZAY, You did not just write that since “sin” is a three letter word and “abomination” is a 12 letter word that “automatically tells that one is worse than the other,” did you? SMH. By that logic, you’re either an “idiot” (5 letters) or “stupid” (6 letters). Since stupid has more letters than idiot, I’ll go with stupid. You’re unbelievably stupid!

tx boi
I think the video and the concept was really good. He was showing clips of the women acting a fool. he wasnt glorifying it…listen to the words people
p-nut
lol @ is this sarcasm
tresome
What was homophobic about that? Because he said the guys of I love NY were sweet? They’re on a show acting a fool to date a WOMAN and they’re gay. I think the point is how far people will go for the chance to degrade themselves on tv (they’ll even front on their sexuality).
WTF Moment
Don’t fall for the old bait and switch technique “tx boi.” This buffoon thinks that he has to put out a “positive” song because that may be lucrative in today’s hip hop market. However, he also thinks that sex, profanity, violence and thuggery sells, so he needs to include that in his song and video as well.
So this buffoon’s business model is to criticize with words behavior he glorifies in his video. This video reminds me of a white dude accused of being a racist saying, “I don’t hate niggers.” It makes you go WTF.

I find it funny that so many people have selective hearing!! This video is simply mint to open your eyes yet so many people are still blinded by there own ignorance. SMH! The truth hurts, and after reading some of these comments it’s obviously hard for some of you to swallow! SMH

To Rico, DAMN and CipHa:
This neighborhood is starting to get really ghetto all of a sudden. I think I’m going to move on.

1st of all I want to say thank you for the comments even the bad ones. Now I did this song to address some of the issues in my community.I am not homophobic and Im not a gay basher. I didnt make this song because it is lucrative to go against the grain. I am active duty military. I started doing music as a way to fight depression not for money! when my daughter was born it changed my whole view of the world. I started to see the world from the eyes of a young black female, and I didnt like what I saw so I made music for her so she can have options.unfortunately my daughter passed away last september and I stopped writing. but I realized that her reason for being here was for me to change so now I use the talent she blessed me with help steer the youth in the right direction..thats all I apologize to those I have offended.
SoChi
Dee Nyce.. u can get it
DAMN
Personally, I don’t hate homosexuals, but I sure don’t agree with that lifestyle. Why is that ppl are trying get everyone to except lesbians and gays. I understand that hate crimes against homosexuals is totally wrong, but u should only preach that, not that the world has to accept you. To Christians, accepting something is like saying it’s okay. The more and more our society accepts something, the more kids are gonna feel like it’s right. PLEASE don’t start the I was born gay argument w/ me, cause we are all born w/ blank slates that are influenced by life experiences.
@ EZAYTHEREALEZAY I feel you, but God sees all sins equal. I learned this the hard way associating abomination w/ homosexuality. Nowhere in the bible is abomination used with homosexuality, but still God doesn’t like it. Ppl just focus so hard on homosexuality, when they themselves sin. If u have sex before ur married, God views you the same way that he does a gay man. Which is why I don’t bash gays.
DAMN
HUH? oh….lol….bye!!
DAMN
HUH? oh….lol….bye have a nice day!!
@ Dee Nyce you don’t have to apologize to close-minded ppl. I understood what the concept was. You can never make everybody happy! Keep doin ya thang!
“DAMN” fool!
DAMN, let’s use your logic on a group besides gays and lesbians.
Personally, I don’t hate [BLACKS], but I sure don’t agree with that lifestyle. Why is that ppl are trying get everyone to except [BLACKS]. I understand that hate crimes against [BLACKS] is totally wrong, but u should only preach that, not that the world has to accept you.
Now, do you understand how offensive and bizarre your comments are? Like Jesse, I’ll “keep hope alive.”

@ Dee-Nyce
I want to applaud you for your efforts and thought. I totally agree with this message and I am glad that you have seen the “Light” in today’s music and the state of our culture. I can’t believe the Million Man March was 10 years ago and we still listening to this misogynstic, self-hating,thoughtless music.
Some people jumped on you for the message being anti-gay,i guess they did not really listen. It was pure sarcasm in this song and the belief system we have in cars, money, profanity, sexual irresponsibility, thuggin.
America needs to see and know we ain’t about that
Nuff Respect to Dee-Nyce
DAMN
@ “biting” fool, I don’t give a hot one what word you put in there. I am a Christian, therefore I don’t agree w/ homosexuality. period. point blank. Of course I offend some, but that comes with any stance that u take on any issue. I love everyone, but that doesn’t mean I accept what they do. I love family members, but I don’t agree w/ everything they do. So raise up off me!
To Dee-Nyce:
Thank you for serving our country and my sympathy to you on the loss of your daughter. Also, congratulations on overcoming your depression by turning to music. That’s a well-known effective technique.
I made critical comments before regarding your song and video, but your posts have somewhat clarified the intent of your song. While your intent may be good, I feel that the message you sent in your video was mixed. Imagine a kid watching that video with the music down. Primarily you’d see booty-shaking, pimped out rides and other similar negative behavior. Even with the music playing you’d hear some of the very same profane language that you want kids to stop using.
We don’t have to get into the gutter to teach kids right from wrong. Kids need clear, strong messages. If any of the negative comments were difficult to take, I hope that you can see them as constructive criticism intended to send a message to the wider community that the negative aspects of hip-hop culture are contributing to the destruction of our community. We can and must do better.
“DAMN” fool!
You really are a damn fool. You call yourself a Christian yet you use profanity like the word “DAMN.” I guess that makes you a hypocritical, damn fool You even call yourself “DAMN.” You can pick and choose whatever myths you want from the white man’s bible to support whatever ridiculous belief you want, but that doesn’t change the fact that you’re a DAMN fool. LMBAO.
Elevated Mind?
So we complain about a music video showing popping and locking preschoolers, pimped out automobiles, scantily-clad women dancing provocatively, random attacks against gays, a bejeweled, thugged out looking rapper using profane lyrics, all in a video that’s alleged to be a “positive” message to our kids, and you have a problem? Please! Elevated Mind. LOL. Is that meant to be a joke?
DAMN
Wow I am really going burn in hell for using the word DAMN. If I call myself DAMN, then I guess that makes u the DAMN FOOL according to ur logic. If ur life consists of the denial that homosexuality wrong, then that’s ur business. Accept it if u please it’s ur business. But I don’t have to prove anything to u about my beliefs. Do u determine my fate? Hmmmm…..I think not. Just b/c u worship the devil (because anything else other than Jesus is the devil’s plan to make His sheep stray) that’s ur business, but don’t try to demean my opinion. NOW, I will not take anymore of my precious time going back and forth w/ a fool. Good Day!!!
NubianGoddez
The song was on point. it speaks to what’s wrong with our black society today that little girl doing them stripper moves is a crying shame the mother needs her ass beat. I bet you that kid can’t read or write but she knows to dance like a stripper later on that same mother is going to blame yt when her daughter becomes a teenager and start wilding out and social service has to get involved, then they further destroy the child in the process. we just make it too easy to set our children up to fail then look for someone else to blame. I’m not going to quibble on him using swears he’s reaching the mentally dead and ignorant on their level, giving it to them in their own language. maybe as they bop their heads it will dawn on them to do better and be assets to our race and not liability sigh…….. I can only hope and pray.
Roni
I liked this: ALOT OF THE N_WORD THOUGH. I give him credit for trying to put out a positive message.

STFU!! If it were for black women like you, all of our black men would be Gay or Bicurious or even worse Bryant Gumblish….AHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Aint NOTHIN’like a dorkie black man. It’s worse in black than any other color lol. And yes, just because he is educated it doesn’t make him or black men like him a joke. I have a family full of educated black men that either graduated college or made a career in the military and not ALL of them are stiff squares. But none of them would be my type if we weren’related ya dig?
Like I said, he had a target audience and I believe he hit it. I don’t want a THUG that I have to go and visit every weekend in the pen and spend all my time and money on, but I don’t want a SQUARE either….never that!!! There are a lot of black women between the ages of 21 and 35 looking for the same type of black man I am looking for. Someone between Bill Cosby(intellectually) and T.I.
WHERE ARE YOU GUYS LOL!!!

homey you dont have a clue what type of artist I am you only heard this song.I have tons of songs and I go at the government the politicians I dont hold my tounge. I can see you havent been to my myspace page..but for those who car I have a song dropping next week called racism still alive..and it goes harder than this song but with out the extra profanity…www.myspace.com/dnyce911 or myspace.com/deenycemixtape
koon
well, i hope so. i just prefer not to hear people degrading blacks based what Yt has told them to say, that’s all. Recognize, what our real issues and not what sounds good
koon
also, what is do different about rap today other than the region.
koon
didn’t mean to offend the artist, however, I saw you mentioned that you had other political songs that dealt with racism. Just as positive rap will not get airplay neither will songs callinng YT out. However, songs in which we degrade each other on how we behave will air and lead to discussions such as this where we will continue the degradation of each other while Yt laughs. See, we don’t control anything, especially media, so when we hear these stories that are supposed to be ” our issues”, who do you think puts them out there. They are more than happy to give you the floor, but only if you keep Yt’s name out of it.

I feel where you coming from. and I value you opinion but at the same time I have to attack the problem a different way..Im not the only conscience artist butlook at how they are pushed to the side for these ignorant dudes who are not helping the problem but maiking it worst.. check out this other link http://youtube.com/watch?v=XHwE_dwCwvA trust me I am versatile and I wanna help
Me
I’m not sure if he could have been any more off beat than he was. And did I hear him rap something about kids learning foul language from other rappers songs? As a black man, and after hearing and seeing that video, I think I would prefer to be white today. That was the most ignorant thing I’ve seen in a while.
EZAYTHEREALEZAY
@ Is this Sarcasm?
I did write that to point out the difference in the biblical description of two categorizations of acts that are unlawful or non pleasing to GOD (Sins and Abominations) for the sake of simplification.
It is true, Fools scorn words of wisdom.
Don’t be foolish you had to understand that. Don’t embarass yourself.

@ all the people who are to ignorant to see the message in this song
i just left a comment and then decided to read back on the comments other people left. this video and this song are getting alot of NEGATIVE feedback. i dont think people are watching it and listening to the words. If u were to really pay attention to it you would realize that he isnt glorifying the gangsta, hustla, hoochie lifestyle. My mom used to say that if u get offended by something that was in no way directed toward u….maybe u need to examine yourself.
Everyone has a mouth full of negative things to say about Dee yet how many of you are even attempting to do something for your community, your people, and the future of your children. let he with no sin cast the first stone.
now….
@Dee Nyce just from the short time i knew u i know that u are not only intelligent but u are also not afraid to say important things….even if they hit a nerve. i admire that about you and thats y i loved sitting listening to you do your music. i wish the people here that have all sorts of things they want you to correct could hear the rest of your music and see that u are one of the few artist that are consistant. and i wish all the folks that are offended by your take of homosexuality could hear the song u did about the Down Low men….hahaha
and just remember… no one like getting called out so with your style of music u gotta get used to folks being hateful.

thank you DeeNyce. black people needed to here that.

Whoever doesn’t get that this song is positive a very ignorant and doesn’t understand the use of irony to make a point. Or maybe they just really like mainstream degrading hip-hop.
KJig
Jiggaman Jay-Z has song with same name that never made any album… think is was released on a mix tape about 3 yrs ago. This kid’s song bites SAME music/samples and he recites word for word some of Jigga’s verses on the hook. Ridiculous… I stopped listening so I won’t comment further. Get this garbage outta here.

Dee-Nyce
No disrespect to you but….
I’m old school… like Jay Z’s age… I’ve been listening to hip hop since… forever. I’m 37yo… hard for you to tell me much about hip hop. If you wanted to bill this song as a Jay Z remix then thats what you should have said UP FRONT. Sure.. lotsa rappers use other rappers lines… including Jay-Z, but.. you jacked the SAME track and jacked the SAME hooks and want credit for a positve message? C’mon brah. Now… I’m all about a positive message but you won’t get far rappin a big name rapper’s hooks over the same track. If you want to stand out.. do something original….. completely original to show off your “talent.” I’m not against you…. if fact I’m not a commercial hip hop guy… never have been. Underground hip hop in my opinion has always and will always be hip hop in it purest form. As soon as it goes commercial… the essence is lost. Rap music is what I love and I’ll support you for the art form. As for delivering a positive message.. well that great but it means more if you LIVE a postitive message in your community. Show a positive message IN ADDITION to what you are rappin about. Think about what you display in your videos…..
Peace bro… wish you the best.
hmph

i saw this guy perform last night at the air lounge in oakland, and his live spoken word performance of this song was a lot better. he got this “positive message” across clearer. and he is FIONEEEE!!!!
Rico
Yo Dee, remember when I told you this song was going to stir things up… This blog has went from talking about gays to young black women to super soak that hoe to house nigger blues. I think it’s serving its intended purpose.
@ all the haters
If you don’t listen to hip-hop (Common, Pharoe Monch, Talib Kweli, Mos Def)or aren’t of any african american descent than please keep your two cents to your damn self. Don’t be a critic on something you know little about. You don’t see Rico going on your tennis blogs and telling you that your pants are way to short. This topic doesn’t apply to you.

Rico you a fool man…tennis blogs lmao….but yea mission accomplished
DexxToby aka Paul Mooney
First off I am going to tell a few of you band wagon folks to pump your brakes, There are no undertones of Gay hate and this work is not a degrading to blacks. Its more of a wake up and a shame on us work. Come on we clean up TV and Film by use black exploitation films and shows to slip truth in amongst the laughs, Think of this as super fly on wax, We are the joke, we made a celebrity out of Flava Flav and who remembers Chuck D, ask a 12 year old and he knows Flava Flav and then he like who’s Chuck D, That is the stupidity we promote and idolize. American Gangster will win Denzel an Oscar, because we’ll go see him play a drug dealer, but not a father like in John Q, And as for gay rapper’s, If Lil Wayne can promote the Down low brother image then I think he should be called out on it as he calls artist out for not being real or street. Not just try to go with Trina for six week to pass of his manhood. Don’t hate on my boy for being honesty and content back to music, we need a KRS 1 vibe back in hip hop. Nyce ENT. Just gives the hip hop world a pulse one beat at a time.
DexxToby aka Paul Mooney
Sounding like,
Okay I am tired of this stupid saying, Everyone’s voice is unique because of Timbre, so how can anyone sound like anyone else if you are talking swag, well everyone sports the same swag because someone thinks it’s tight. I could show you two paintings of Wrigley field but it doesn’t mean the artist was trying to paint like the other, got check the brushstrokes to see what makes the picture.
And with music got to listen to the content, tone, mid-tone, and background so if he trying to sound like another artist then we need to check the boy IQ if he that smart to make the beat or feel of the music copy other artist…Cause I heard tracks, freestyle, even drunken speeches and all are his sound, his swag. All and all kid you need to get your hearing checked,
Also to Koon I think you just not as gifted so you shooting my boy down….And if you hate on this the next one will be sure to hit you hard and make to realize that my boy is the truth.
Just cause one man woke up with a dream and was willing to help others you down him for going after it, I think Milton was right Paradise is lost, for us it is when we can kill the man reaching out with knowledge instead of violence, who are we… I wonder if the old folks were right we rather laugh at MLK in today’s times its amazing we can draw this much heat from trying to deliver a message.
http://www.youtube.com/mrbwell real talk
@blah blah…you are deffinatly retarded ..because the video was hot..it showed the current state of rap music, and it was done in an excellent way..its funny how you watched the video and couldnt say anything positive…this video shines light on everything thats wrong with rap..keep it coming dee nyce.. I love the truth ..it hurt so good
DexxToby aka Paul Mooney
Real talk I’m going to just lay it out cause I believe in my boy pick a topic that is positive and need to be addressed in the music world and I will by a pair of Brand new Jay’s for any artist that can put it down better than him for all you haters on here that claim to have flow, Come on,
