i think her quote was taken out of context. i think the second part of the quote was said later, and she may have been referring to the “whole package” as in a complete man. we women do, of course, look for a complete package in the men we want to marry.

I was taught the same things in school too and for those of us who went to majority white schools it was almost like “What the hell are you doing here? The reason (most) black women don’t hate on this relationship is that Heidi seems genuinely nice, and a great catch. We know she’s not after Seal’s money, she has her own. I think some black men here are generalizing. I don’t think most black women care if a famous black man dates or marries a white woman. I think the only thing that upsets some black women is when black men that date interracially feel the need to put DOWN black women. Wesley Snipes made some disparaging remarks about black women in a magazine and Taye Diggs did the same thing a while back. I think those kinds of black men that feel the need to put down black women are the ones that piss black women off.

The reason black women don’t care about Seal and Heidi Klum is because it does seem their love is real and genuine. Heidi and Seal are also NOT Americans they are both from Europe. Seal is a Nigerian/British and Heidi is a German woman. I think interracial romance in Europe isn’t so littered down with all these race issues as the USA. Also, I think its offensive the way how the black men are generalizing here because when Venus Williams and Halle Berry started to date white men black men were the first to complain.

I am happy for any couple who are in love.I think it’s mostly Black American women who get really angry of Black men dating outside of their race.I don’t care if Black men date non-Black women.I date white exclusively and I get nasty looks for Black men all the time.I do also noticed how Black men will looked in their corner of their eyes when they are with a white woman.It’s almost a stare to see if the Black woman will care.I usually laughed since I’m not that attracted to them anyway.

why are ppl so angry at this relationship? thats just stupid. its not a big deal at all. if she wanted him, she wanted him. get over it. some ppl are so narrowminded these days.
