How cool is it that Black History Month this year comes with this amazing bit of news? Zora Ball, a 7-year-old African American computer programming student, has become the youngest person ever to create a mobile video game app, according to a report by the Philadelphia Tribune. Ball’s app was unveiled at the University of Pennsylvania’s Bootstrap Expo last month.
Boostrap is a computer programming language that Ball learned through the Harambee Institute of Science and Technology, where she attends first grade and an after-school program.
Congratulations to this little trailblazer!
