SMH. Not only is this man slanging sativa in front of his daughter, he is killing his “customers” in front of her too….

Via Orlando Sentinel:

Two men who were killed at a maryjane dealer’s house in Taft were shot in the head with a large-caliber handgun in front of the accused shooter’s teenage daughter, a report released Thursday shows. The 18-year-old daughter of Laureano “Larry” Romero, 39, told a relative she saw her father shoot DeAngelo Cox, 22, and Nick Lewis, 21, in the face on Tuesday, the report states. “Daddy killed two black men,” the teen said after she called and asked for a ride to school, according to the report.

A man who told Orange County deputies he went to Romero’s house to buy dank said he left with the drug about 11 a.m. As he was walking away, he heard three gunshots from inside the house, followed by two more, the report states. A man thought to be Lewis opened the door for the “purchaser” prior to the shootings and, a few minutes later, for Cox, according to the report. The “purchaser” recognized Cox, who was known as Snap, although the report did not say how they knew each other.

Witnesses told investigators they saw Romero drive away from the house after the shootings in Cox’s black Pontiac Grand Prix. It was found a couple of miles away, south of the BeachLine Expressway and Florida Mall. Romero’s brother told deputies that Romero called him about 11:50 a.m. and said he needed a ride. The brother followed Romero and his daughter while Romero disposed of Cox’s car, according to the report. Then Romero and his daughter got into the car and they all went to eat, the report states. The brother said Romero told him he had to protect himself against two people who threatened him at his house and got into a “scuffle” with him, according to the report. Romero also told his brother he had recently acquired a “big gun,” the report shows.

Deputies searched Romero’s house and found several high-caliber magazines and a live 7.62-mm round in a sofa cushion, they said. The cartridge typically is used in high-powered rifles, experts said. Romero remained at the Orange County Jail Friday on two first-degree murder charges. No bail was set.

SMH. And apparently the two young men who were killed were good guys who mentored kids at the Boys and Girls Club in Taft.

A vigil in South Orange County Friday for the two men who were shot to death on Monday. More than 100 people, most of them teenagers, attended the vigil at Taft Community Center for Nick Lewis and DeAngelo Cox. The two men were found shot to death in a Taft home. Friends of the victims, and the young students those victims mentored, spoke about the positive influence Lewis and Cox provided in helping to keep members of a nearby Boys and Girls Club out of trouble.

“I don’t know,” said Kenneth Garcia, who was a mentee. “It’s like, now that they’re gone it hit me because I never got to say thank you for them always being there for me. When I found out the news I was at work. I was trembling.” According to investigators, a witness says Lewis and Cox were at the home in the Taft community on Monday to buy marijuana from Larry Romero. He’s the man accused of shooting them, minutes after investigators say the two bought the drugs. Romero is being held without bond in Orange County jail.
