Chicago Woman Bites Of A Large Part Of Boyfriends Tongue
Elaine Cook and her boyfriend of 10 months went out last week for Valentine’s Day, returned to her apartment and got in a fight.
She asked him to leave. He wanted to end the argument. So he leaned in for a kiss.
That’s when prosecutors said she bit off a “large” piece of his tongue.
Now the 51-year-old Cook, of the 9400 block of Lockwood in Skokie, is charged with aggravated domestic battery.
She was arrested Friday, records show, and Cook County Judge Israel Desierto ordered her held Sunday in lieu of $100,000 bail.
Her boyfriend, meanwhile, said he has “a lot of mixed feelings.” He said he’s trying to heal after losing the right side of his tongue, and he asked not to be named.
That b!t#h cray.
Assistant State’s Attorney Eve Reilly said the couple went back to Cook’s apartment after going out for Valentine’s Day and started to quarrel. Reilly said Cook’s boyfriend went to put his shoes on after Cook asked him to leave.
Then the boyfriend said they should stop fighting, the prosecutor said. He went to kiss her, according to Reilly, but Cook “bit off a large portion of his tongue.”
Cook’s boyfriend ran to a sink in the kitchen, Reilly said, and Cook followed and threw the tongue on a counter. The boyfriend put it in a bag of ice, according to the prosecutor, and he and Cook’s roommate called 911.
Believe it or not, this guy isn’t going to press any charges against his angry bird boo.
An ambulance took the boyfriend to Evanston Hospital, Reilly said, but doctors could not reattach the tongue because of an inadequate blood supply. The boyfriend acknowledged the attack left him maimed, but he said he doesn’t want Cook in jail or to see her life ruined.
“Everything’s sad,” said the 47-year-old from Chicago. “It’s just sad. The whole thing. I’m in a lot of pain and I’m not sure what direction I’m going at this point.”
He’s better than us. We would’ve asked your honor to throw a book at this muthafuggin monster.
