kanye west vibe cover

Here’s a glimpse of Kanye West‘s Vibe interview. He speaks on therapy in regards to his mother’s death:

I don’t believe in therapy. I believe you gotta walk it out, you gotta live it out…And sometimes you have to cry it out…I don’t believe in medication or painkillers. And I don’t believe in religion and giving it all up to Jesus.”

That’s all well and good – we guess. But one thing’s for damn sure: Behaving in an arrogant and overly eccentric manner ain’t the answer either. Personally, with the way he’s been carrying himself recently, we think the brotha could use a little therapy, anger management, and divine intervention. SMH.

He don’t believe in religion???????? He didn’t say that shit when he had that accident!

  • PURPPLE

i feel you Kanye, living it out is the only way to work it out…

  • eeeeeeeeee

    Kanye = life.

but yeah, I believe in religion.

but while you have to trust God, you DO have to just live it out…he’s so right.

  • justmoi

I feel for Kanye, remember this is the same man that wrote and produced ‘Jesus walks with me’. That fact that he has lost his religion speaks volumes. Clearly losing his mother took away his faith, people need to stop judging him so harshly (BOSSIP)!

  • justmoi

Well at least that’s how I see it.

  • pm

I feel him on that religion part

  • Beautiful Mess

I love Kanye…but he wasn’t saying that when the hit single “Jesus Walks” was paying the bills…I’m just saying… And on another note, while living through the pain is natures best medicine, therapy helps you successfully getting to the other side of hurt. It’s not for everyone, but there’s no need to knock it.

  • Aunt Viv

Did they take that from his mugshot of his most recent arrest? They couldn’t slap some Blistex on his lips before taking the picture?

  • http://www.gravatar.com Re is excited to see GAMBIT in May. FINALLY!

I don’t believe in therapy. I believe you gotta walk it out, you gotta live it out…And sometimes you have to cry it out…I don’t believe in medication or painkillers. And I don’t believe in religion and giving it all up to Jesus.”

Isn’t talking it out part of therapy? Anyway, Kanye just look out for any suspicious thunderstorms.

  • Wordz Of a Prophet (I had 2 let him GO)

Ye has a point. So many times in life people think that it will all get better if you just turn it over 2 Jesus and put it in his hands, but people forget that while they sitting on they hands waiting 4 God to fix it, they ain’t tryna help themselves and continue living their life.

  • I GOT IT LIKE THAT

kanye was really religious before his mother died .. so for him to say that just seems like more grief. when you loose a loved one suddenly and in an unexplicable manner you do feel betrayed by God so these comments are coming from a place of hurt. he was actually very “religious” and gave thanks to God when he survived his car accident. kanye need to regroup. i would strongly suggest Kayne take some time to himself. go overseas to another country and get some peace & solitude. get his mind right.

  • grillfixer

Goes 2 show that just because a person make’s a song, don’t mean that they share ur view’s, but if he don’t believe n religion oh well that’s his soul, i gotta enough problem’s tryn ta save my own, but i like the music, i might not buy n e more though, got a copy of 808 from a friend.

  • http://myspace.com/toolive4urcrew Katherine

I’m sure this is a sensitive topic for Kanye but he sounds like he has no idea what he’s talking about. Religion and therapy is talking it out and living it out..I’ve been to therapy when I didnt have anyone I felt I could talk to, saved my life.

  • STEFANY

Kanye was already crazy before his mother died, her death just brought it around full circle, but I agree with what he said about working it our on your own.

  • Brook Lynn Choclate Gyrl (Yes My sugar Daddy wears Depends!!)

I kinda see where he is coming from, when you lose a family member such as a parent or child you feel like there is no one you can turn to. But to turn away from Jesus is just obsurd and I am surprised that he said this..

  • memchee

    Don’t believe in religion?

I hope he’s justing saying that to stop the noise of unwarranted religious advice.

I do agree wit him, he should accept and feel the pain of losing his mother. It’s a natural emotional process of being human.

It’s not like she was brutally killed right in front of his eyes or something.

  • Marc B’s Honey

I don’t like to say things like this, but anytime, someone gets too damn high and mighty, they come tumbling down. Believe you me, Kanye’s day is coming and it is definitely not going to be pretty…I would ask the Lord to have mercy on his soul, but he has said that he “doesn’t believe in giving it all up to Jesus”

  • Marc B’s Honey

Yes, and to everyone, he doesn’t believe that the Lord is real…that’s your opinion, but I am a living witness of what he can do…When you start feeling like you’re more than others, he’ll strip you naked…It happened to me. I forgot that I was blessed and I started to think that everything that I had accomplished was because of me…Well, I guess I learned my lesson after I lost my house, all of my furniture and clothing…simply everything. And not only did my arrogance and pride affect me, but it affected my children as well. But then again, I say let Kanye have his hissy fits…It’s all a part of life and life is a learning process. I just hope he doesn’t have to learn by losing what he has gained.

  • Honeybunz

Wow..i do feel that u have to go thru the storm..for some ppl tho therapy is a viable option but i feel that Kanye is deeply affected and he has lost his faith..its when ur tested the most u must hold on to ur faith and trust Jesus..i am sure most of us have been thru things that made u want to give up but turning ur back on Jesus is not the way..Where r the rest of his family or friends when he is obviously in turmoil?

  • Ro Ro

    He doesn’t believ in religion??

Wasn’t one of his first hits a song that had a choir in it singing praises?? “Jesus walk with me.”

Not very sure if that is the nameof the cut cuz I am not a Kanye fan but I am sure one of you Bossipers know what I am taling about.

  • Brook Lynn Choclate Gyrl (Yes My sugar Daddy wears Depends!!)

    @ Marc B’s Honey

I feel you on that one. But what I think Kanye is experiencing is a loss of identity with God. I feel like he feels that God took something very special and precious away from him and he may be resenting God, ppl do that I done it but then you must realize that God does things for his own specific reasons and you cannot question it. I just hopes that he re establishes a relationship with our Father for he truly needs his guidance now.

  • Passion8_1

It is so clear his mother deaths still affects him, he is still in the anger stage … he has got to get past his anger so he can continue to heal from her death. Most ppl try to abandon their religious foundation when they experience a traumatic loss such as his , we tend to feel why me and abandoned. I pray he does not let his anger take complete hold of him. I am certain his mother would not want that for him.

  • Kakafooie

kanye is nothing more than a mere devil worshipper

  • FOXY

HE LOOKS OLD, TIRED, UGLY IN THIS PICTURE

  • FURIOUZ STYLEZ

    KANYE APPROVES!

…SO ITS OK TO SOCK FOLKS IN THE GRILL ALL BECAUSE THEY SNAPPED A PHOTO OF YOUR CRUNCH-A-MUGG

…SO IT’S OK TO MAKE SONGS ABOUT “JESUS WALKS” BUT YOU DON’T BELIEVE IN RELIGION TO GET YASELF RIGHT?

…THIS HAS GOTTA BE TAKEN OUTTA CONTEXT..CUZ EVEN THIS MUHFUCCA COULDN’T BE THIS DAMN FOOLISHLY CONTRADICTING

  • Its6amHoGetOut

mmmm i’ll give him some therapy. Some deep anal tissue massage therapy.

  • dumbazznicca

wtf jesus will take everthing he gave him away satarting with his mother.trhen alexis.then who knows what he better get a bible & open it up & pray

  • thaaazzzright!!!

Kanye, I’ve been praying for you since your loss. I’m sure you may feel like turning your back on God because you feel like he turned his back on you. He knows your heart, and like a loving father, He will be waiting for you to come back with open arms. You are blessed. Don’t forget that!

  • The Th3rd

Guys cut him some slack. How would you feel if you lost a mother. He was very close to his mother , and i understand every reason on why he feels the way he feels. I don’t believe in religion, but all i know is that god has a plan for all of us. I pray kanye gets better. Losing a mother is a very painful thing, i’m thankful i still have one.

  • LayinkaJ

what happened to “jesus walks,” kanye?

  • posh

why would you people say god bless kanye west when he doesn’t even believe in god or jesus? and yeah, what did happen to “jesus walks”? yall and kanye all need therapy.smh.

  • LOL

    Sadd Sadd Individuals.

  • Kimmylita

    @Marc B’s Honey

Preach Girl!!!! You speak nothing but the truth….

  • About it

If he doesn’t believe in religion, okay, maybe he believes in a relationship with God and his relationship with God is really none of our business and if he is at a point where he doesn’t turn it all over to Jesus and he needs to hang on, let the young brotha arrive to a point where he will give it all over to Jesus

  • Mase

If there’s anyone who needs therapy…
