Some of these cribs’ have been owned by ballers like Donald Trump and Aaron Spelling, while a few of the others were owned by more discreet rich folks! 12. Updown Court Surrey, England – $55 Million

Updown Court is a 103 room palace in Surrey, England that at one point in time was the most expensive private home for sale in the world. After the original property burned down, a developer spent $40 million refurbishing the house from scratch. Updown Court features a heated driveway which reportedly cost $4 million to build. It also features five pools, a bowling alley, a movie theater, 8 car garage, and two penthouses. Annual maintenance will set you back $2 million per year and requires a full time staff of 12 or more people.

Producer Aaron Spelling created shows like 90210 so it makes sense that he would build a sprawling mansion in Beverly Hills. Billionaire Donald Trump purchased Palm Beach’s Maison de L’Amitie out of bankruptcy in 2004 for $41.2 million. Just a few years later he listed the property for $150 million. Maison de L’Amitie is 80,000 square feet and features over 20 bathrooms, 15 bedrooms, tennis courts, guest houses and a 100 foot swimming pool.
