Female Prison Guard Charged For Having Sex With Inmate

Yet another female prison guard is set to face charges for carrying on an intimate relationship with an inmate and becoming pregnant with his child.

Authorities say a female correctional officer has been charged with rape after having sex with a male inmate at a maximum-security state prison in the Hudson Valley.

State police say Tyshinia Love Brewster, 39, of Poughkeepsie was arrested at her home Wednesday.

Along with the rape charge, she also faces an official misconduct charge.

Officials say Brewster had been involved in a sexual relationship with an inmate at Downstate Correctional Facility in Fishkill, where she has worked for the past 7½ years.

Police say the two would meet during her shift assignment in the cell block where the inmate was housed and the relationship had gone on since 2010.

Authorities say the inmate, imprisoned as a result of a felony conviction out of New York City, has been transferred to another prison.

Police say Brewster is about six months pregnant with the inmate’s child.

Who knew there were so many bust downs in lock up? Must be something in the water up there in NY….
