She didn’t have to hurt ‘em like this, though. Serena came out and tried to blind those Aussies with all the ice she had on:
Serena Williams produced a dazzling performance off the court at the Sydney International, sporting a 2.5 million US dollar diamond necklace.
The American world number two was well below her best in a stuttering 6-3, 6-7 (4/7), 7-5 first round win over Australian Samantha Stosur, but it was her sparkling necklace, replete with 427 diamonds, that sent the press photographers into a snapping frenzy.
The nine times grand slam champion made friends with a Sydney diamond designer in a visit to his boutique store over the weekend and was loaned the necklace to wear on the court.
But the thought of being entrusted with the multi-million dollar jewellery made the 27-year-old Williams nervous and she decided to only wear it at her post-match press conference away from the gaze of the fans.
“I told the jeweller that I would wear it at the press conference because I didn’t have the cash to be losing a three and a half million dollar necklace,” Williams said with a laugh.
“I’m just not comfortable with it and if it fell off I just would have go for it….. I wouldn’t care about the ball.”
The flamboyant American has worn diamonds on court before, causing some controversy at the 2004 US Open when one of her 40,000 US dollar earrings fell off during a match.
We are most definitely upset at ourselves for the life decisions we have made thus far that have resulted in us having to wear CZ jewelry items, but we ain’t mad at Serena one bit. Do you’re thang, girl.
Those diamonds look nice, but her phatty looks good as well. You can double dip below.

Yeah i like Serena..I know most of us would not look good after playing a vigorous tennis match.
However sista should have least ran for her lip gloss and a comb.

Those Williams sisters always look rough every time I see them. She continues to disappoint me lookin like this. Don’t know if it was after a match or not but she seems to look like this quite often….That head and that skin is a mess but the diamonds are hot!!! And for Gods sake I’m NOT hatin, that’s the truth…

on a up note he eye brows look kinda ok… Serina and Venus if yall are out there sout me a holla i’ll post a ad on craigslist for yall to get som real *****istance may be a oxygen facial or microderm abrasion it will give you all a great glow and mybe if you gonna be seating some purchased hair out buy som remy hair that way it wont look like you got mini cat clawing in that mess and a lil water proof concealer but all on commentrs in good faith..u guys are great.

Dang, that woman is hideous from neck up. Her eyebrows look ridiculous. Her hair? Are you serious right now? I understand this is after her match, but DAMN she could have put on some makeup and did something with her hair, even if it took an hour the media would have waited. They could have airbrushed her like they do all of the other celebrities to enhance their looks. Serena is not ugly in my opinion. They put up the worst photos of her just so that you all will have something to talk about and to keep them in business. Serena you have it going on!
