Kansas Player Elijah Johnson Receives Racist Tweets After Showboat Dunk

Racists in Iowa? There’s a shocker…SMH

In retrospect, Elijah Johnson wished he had finished Monday night’s win over Iowa State with 37 points, not 39. It still would have been a dominating performance in a crucial Kansas victory, but wouldn’t have carried the controversy that accompanied a final, meaningless dunk.

With his Jayhawks up 10 points in overtime and time expiring, Johnson received a hand-off near the far baseline after an Iowa State miss. Instead of dribbling it out, Johnson drove down the court uncontested and slammed a thunderous dunk, much to the delight of his teammates.

Neither his coach nor Iowa State were as pleased.

As they usually do, these cowards promptly deleted their Twitter accounts, but we wouldn’t be surprised if they were still lurking and trolling Elijah’s timeline under another name. What are you so angry at guys? Did you bet mommy and daddy’s tuition money on this game or something?! Sheesh…
