this is something that i will watch, finally a reality show with a message.

In his lyrics he expresses that the life aint all that it is hyped up to be. “Thug life” is something that is hard to get out of of. Think about, this is all these young people know. If you grow up around professionals that is what you will know. If you grow up around Street niggas….well what do you think you will get? It is an aweful cycle and it will take years for black people to break it! I hope he is able to change the few he has contact with! Its hard out here and if you don’t have the proper guidance you aint goin far!!! And if you never have proper rearing how can you even have a clue as to how to give it your children! Don’t be so quick to make judgemental statements if you are not even making an effort to help your community! People with the education need to give back…when I go to my elementary school to volunteer this Monday (in memory of MLK)…I know, as always there will be more whites than blacks at a school in the heart of the “hood”. It is sad! So before you come out with your they need an education blah blah blah make sure you doin your part to help the community! And giving to your thievin ass “pastor” doesn’t count!

Are you talkin to these kids on the block or hooked up wit gangs? Im pretty sure you are NOT. I don’t care if this is for money or fame or even a lighter sentence. The moments he is spending with these kids is changing their lives. All he’s doing is showing them a better way. So before you pass judgement, take a look at yourself. Ask yourself what are you doing to save our young black youth?! From the looks of it…alot of blacks are doing absolutely NOTHING. I applaud him for his good intentions.

It is hard not to be skeptical of yet another reality show. The basic principle is inspiring but the need for televised, on camera recognition, is over-rated and overdone. We will see if this is a purposeful, meaningful glimpse into TI’s life and his need to make a difference or if it will be yet another scripted “reality” show of celeb self-promotion taking up empty television time.
