Social media allows anyone to be whatever they desire and say ANYTHING without consequences. But, in real life, the expression of strong, unpopular or “controversial” opinions usually ends with shattered limbs, hurt feelings or gunplay.

Here are ten things you should never say out loud (even if it’s true). Take a look.

“Not sure if Jay-Z is Blue Ivy’s father…”

Blue Ivy looks different every few weeks. In one pic, she favors Hovvie Hov. In another, she looks exactly like Drake. In the most recent, she’s 6’2.” It’s like Bey Bey has a wide variety of Blue Ivys to pick from and carry around. Just NEVER say (or tweet) this.

michael jackson

“Post-Jackson 5 Michael Jackson couldn’t sing”

Say THIS and you’ll be spitting teeth moments later. Vocally, Jackson 5-Mike was untouchable but glittery catsuit-“Dangerous”-era Mike? In some minds, not much better than Janet.

jay-z-money

“Jay-Z is 100% unoriginal”

Music heads have locked this truth deep inside their souls but Hovvie Hov DID “borrow” and perfect Big Daddy Kane, Biggie and Jaz-O’s rap styles (and combine them) before he blew. Keep this to yourself, though.

“2pac is overrated”

There are two types of people: Those who LOVE Pac and those who believe he’s the greatest actor to ever be a rapper—greater than even Rick Ross, Plies and Drake. If you believe the latter? Never share this.

tom cruise oprah

“Oprah is the biggest groupie ever”

Mother O is always in some world-famous celeb’s face laughing it up and schmoozing. Some say that’s her appeal while others believe she’s the ultimate groupie. Either way, Oprah-slander leads to dark, ugly places.

Aaliyah modeling Tommy Hilfiger

“Aaliyah was overrated and couldn’t sing”

Aaliyah’s “One in a Million” is a Top 5 R&B album ever but many believe she’s a “wonky-eyed, mildly-talented Janet Jackson clone.” Will they say this, out loud, in public? Hopefully not, but the opinion definitely exists.

“ALL Black men/women are _____”

You can’t possibly know what ALL Black men or women do socially, in relationships or randomly if you’ve never met every single one on Earth. Saying this only creates chaos and nothing else.

newsweek-obama-gay-president

“Being gay is a choice”

Avoid debates on this issue like mall kiosk sales people because they rarely end well. Whether you agree or disagree with the lifestyle, keep your thoughts and beliefs to yourself.

Different-World-Cast-2

“HBCUs are a waste of money”

There’s nothing like the HBCU experience which never matters to those who ask why so many unemployed, under-employed or unhirable HBCU grads exist. To many, paying $30,000/year for an HBCU is insane. Agree…and say this around Black folk? You’ll start a riot.

cosby-show_l

“The Cosby Show was corny”

Never say this to anyone because they’ll never trust you, on any level.
