It’s a dialysis shut. Natalie has to undergo dialysis 4 times a week. Her kidneys have failed. She needs our prayers. Everything we do comes back to us. Drug abuse, sexual abuse, verbal abuse. Whatever or whomever it all comes back on us.

It’s a shunt…so they can connect her to the dialysis machine

Dialysis is scary. I wish her the best. It’s gonna be the hardest fight of her life.

Leave it be I cosign on what you are saying. People can be so cruel, as if there will never be any rain in their life. It doesn’t matter whether you lived your perfect, or whether you raised hell the whole time. Rain is gonna come. Just pray when it is, (and that is inevitable), that you are able to stand up and give your all and fight like this lady. Her songs have and will continue to outlast all of this ridiculous flash in the pan, un-original junk we are producing and listening to today.

Ms.Cole is well into her 50′s if not in her 60′s now. I think she looks ok. We all have crosses to bear…all of us. Please, just stay in prayer for Natalie Cole and yourselves.

Thanx peeps for explaining what that patch is. A friend of mine saw her perform last month and she was excellent. I would like to remind folks that Natalies father died when both she and he were very young, she had an uptight, bourgie mom, she lived in a white neighborhood, she was born on the East Coast and moved to the West Coast and had to find her identity in the shadow of her famous father. Not an excuse to do drugs, but which one of you could have done it better? Support and pray for her!

My heart goes out to Natalie. Kidney failure is a serious thing as is dialysis. I work closely with people with renal failure and the suffering truly sad.

I love Natalie Cole. I can remember when I was a kid saving up my allowance to buy her new album. I applaud Natalie for speaking about about her past drug use and current illness in the hopes that it will help others. At least she’s not pretending to be somebody she isn’t, like so many others in the entertainment business.

MY MOTHER SUFFERED FOR MANY YEARS AS A DIALYSIS PATIENT UNTIL IT TOOK HER LIFE AWAY IN 2003. MY HEART GOES OUT TO MRS. COLE, IT IS SUCH A TERRIBLE THING TO WITNESS, SO MANY UPS AND DOWNS, VERY DISTURBING. IT’S GOOD TO SEE HER NOT LETTING IT KEEP HER DOWN BUT SHE CAN’T IGNORE THE CONSEQUENCES INVOLVED.
