Tupac and Madonna???

This is definitely some interesting morning swirl news. A new book “Madonna: Like an Icon” out today mentions that Madonna was dating Tupac:
Madonna, in her mid-30s, “desperately wanted children and had various relationships with unlikely men.” The singer’s friend Alison Clarkson recalls when she was briefly dating Tupac Shakur, one year before his death.
“She was going out with him … but homegirls were saying to him, ‘I can’t believe you’re going out with a white girl,’” – so she got dumped!
Madonna was trying to get knocked up by Pac. Interesting morning swirl news indeed. Might have to check that book out when it hits the library stands to get the full scoop.

When you are a male celebrity (of any race), there is a whole array of females to choose from. And the temptation is at every corner. You can be a pro-black, Back-to-Africa Garveyite, poetry slam going, dreadlocked bantu shell wearing, dead prez & Talib Kweli listening, dashiki dressed mother*****er, but a soon as a blonde hair, blue eyed, porcelain skin white girl with EEE *****ies steps to you and points to her crotch and tells you “this is for breakfast,” your ***** will turn into O.J. Simpson from 0 to 5 seconds. Many black men who fought/supported black rights had relationships with white women. Fredrick Dougl***** married a white woman (and cheated on her with another white woman), Martin Luther King had affairs with white women, some members of the Black Panthers had white girlfriend, NFL great/actor/activist Jim Brown had white girlfriends, Bob Marley had affairs with white women, NAACP Chairman Julian Bond is married to a white woman, so why should Tupac be any different. Having a pro-black identity doesn’t exclude you from having romantic relationships with white females.

Yeah I heard about this years ago. The woman to the far left is Betty Boo (the UK artist who was quite big in the late 80’s) and I read an article very similar to the one on Bossip with her saying they were dating etc. I dont think its anything to do with being black and white. It certainly would not have come from either camps as they were both down with whoever. It could have been a decision enforced by the then tough labels as for both artists it was an image thing so most likely it was a relationship that never started. This is old news.

The truth is Madonna met Tupac twice. She sat in on his mTV interview and tried to pursue him. Tupac was very disrespectful to her because she was white. He had a problem with black men dating white women & stated this to VIBE dissing Quincy Jones for being with white women. He later apologized because when he was in jail Madonna wrote him & even attempted to visit him but never showed up. After he came out of jail he said himself that he regretted disrespecting her but he only saw once after that. So obviously someone is trying to get some publicity because anyone who knew Tupac and the family knows Tupac never dated Madonna. she did date Dennis Rodman. Madonna should be more careful about her lie before Afeni sues her for throwing around his name like that to sell a book.
Yeah in resurrection Tupac said Madonna was supposed to visit him. He did say he realized she was a good friend but towards the end he was with Quincy Jones’ daughter Rashida Jones & said that he apologized for the comments he made that black men have no business having sex with white women. He said that that polluted the black race and it was nasty and disgusting but later apologized.

Come on people, this is Maddonna we are talking about. And did I hear someone mention talent. Maddonna has none, she just knows how to court controversy and sell it. How can you tell me a singer who cannot sing is talented?
On another note, so what if they dated. I’d believe it if it was from a more reliable source than Maddonna. She would do anything for publicity. If Tupac criticisez IR relationships, then dated Maddonna, then he is a sell-out and a hypocrite. However, if he didn’t make those comments, then I don’t see what the problem is!
