I’m sorry he used the term “not black enough” DAMNIT!!! Barack Obama could take you tomorrow to a hill in Kenya and introduce you to his African grandma living in the hills of Kenya. He got an aunt in public housing about to be kicked out cuz she’s an immigrant. McGruder is not wholly wrong though. He IS pointing out something though. Barack Obama does not have the lineage of Africans in AMERICA and so he resonates more strongly with the IMMIGRANT experience than with the post enslavement experience. He also grew up in a white household and grew up briefly in an Indonesian stepfather’s household. He has a variety of experiences that don’t make him one of “us” but which make him more like ALL OF US in America than this country can really accept. Later… Obama gravitated towards African Americans seeking to embrace their identity as his own.. and he has some of that.. other parts of him are like an American guy with a very down to earth “Oh shucks” attitude and it helps him relate to whites. And when Obama strides.. you can see he’s got the walk. There’s a lot there.. and he is one of us because of the accident of being born to a person of African descent and also because he embraces the so-called “us” culture.. the black american culture. So MacGruder COULD have made a good point.. instead he did what a lot of blacks tried to do last year which was to alienate Obama from BLACKNESS… how the HELL can you alienate a man with his BLACK AFRICAN FATHER’S NAME from BLACKNESS???

It hurts me to see MacGruder go that way because I value the man’s perspectives and harsh criticism … sometimes BRUTAL and much needed critiques of what’s going on.. but just as he spoke in such vague and circular terms the young brother couldn’t really get where he was coming from, so too is his *****ysis of what SHOULD be kind of shaky! That said… Michelle Obama is as he said.. a descendant of the Africans Enslaved in the USA… I could see that Obama was going to be forced into the pretzel he is now in(though I’m STILL holding out hope he’s got all these folks in a rope a dope.. Netanyahu.. Achmedenijad.. Putin.. Merkel.. Hannity… Chavez… Ingraham.. Karzai… Limbaugh.. in a rope a dope that he’s gonna unfurl by new year’s)… there are too many competing interests with too much money, influence, and control over the political system for a BLACK man to have walked into that seat and just come in and UPEND the system. No way in HELL was that going to happen..dayum they even had some black man heretofore referred to as that NEGRO FROM ARIZONA(whose name MUST be found out and distributed throughout the community as soon as possible)who showed up at one of the Obama town halls with a long piece. This negro disgraced himself by doing that and making some loud mouthed rant tot he reporter that sounded just like the cracker who was no doubt pulling his puppet strings. May this NEGRO never know fast food that is not spit in!!!

Anyway.. F all that.. Obama can’t make change right now… whitey is up in arms over the CONCEPT that this brother is even in the White House! And damnit…. they’ve had THREE of these tea party organized protests.. Apr 15.. July 4th.. September 12 and they got another one coming up on Oct 17.. they’re building up their organizations and getting out in the streets calling their congressmen and raising all kinds of hell.. meanwhile black america can’t overturn what is happening in Mississippi and South Carolina or Georgia with the numbers we have? We can’t put a few MILLION people in the streets across this country to say “we don’t all love or like what Obama is doing.. but y’all better STFU cuz non-violence is a TWO WAY STREET!” By the way.. can we get some NON drug dealing bruthaz to to make SURE you get armed in the next year. There are crackaz in the south who are buying tens of thousands of rounds of ammo like they’re stocking up for a party.. guess who the PINATA is if y’all ain’t armed!!!

McGruder’s on-point. Obama does not come with the guilt of America’s parti*****tion in the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. Some speculate about “possible” slave experiences in Kenya. But that is not the issue.

If global enslavement were at the heart of the matter, virtually every people at some point in their past can make that claim. Whether one talks about Jews under the Third Reich or Western European slaves “thralls” captured by 8th century Norse raiders, slavery has a ubiquitous past. Heck for all you Seiko watch-wearing folk, the term seiko was the term given to Japanese slaves exported to China in the 3rd century.

We are a country that readily points its finger at the wrongs of other nations, past and present, while not yet coming to grips with our own. It is a step in the right direction. But let’s not get it twisted. We will not see the wounds of our jaded history healed until African American share equitably in America’s unfolding story and a product of its darkest moment – a descendant of American slavery – occupies 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

This *****hole, jerk, ignorant negro is a disgrace to inteeligent black folk. Does he not know that the African slave was inslaved by every nation on the planet. Black folk became light skinned through European and Spanish bloodline. He and his show are a total minus to the black community. His show is a joke and I banned my 13 year old daughter
from watching that igornant show long ago. For all the blood sweat and tears our ancestors went through, you mean to tell me that the first black president is not black enough because his mother is white. Many of black people in our community are mixed with white, Latin, Asian and everything else. Does that make you less black than those with two black parents?. Any body who believes that don’t black well. 1percent black blood makes you black. Are you suppose to not love your 1 non-black parent?, no way. Barack was and is a blessing to black people and all people by God almighty. He is one of us BLACK AND PROUD. Black folk are the first human god brought fourth on the planet, black history begins in Ethiopia- Egypt-ancient Israel is and will always be the original place god gave to the Ethiopians before the invasion of the European Jew and Arab man. We are the choosen tribe of Dan. We are the descendants of Abram, Issac, Moses, David, Jacob, and the greatest gift to mankind… Jesus the black Hebrew Israelite and a many host of other important figtures. Black I speak the truth, if you don’t know now you do. We come from greatness. Disobeying god got us in our own hell. He promises if we trust him again he will bring us back home to OUR ISRAEL OF THE BLACKS. So instead of being ignorant to Barack learn your history and know lite
skin, dark skin we are still black folk.

It’s a real shame that so many people cry for a world that is colorblind, yet they themselves are so color-sighted! Besides, I think many have missed the main points – “no dramatic changes coming from Obama” and that the ‘political system in the US is a sham’. I think McGruder and others like him have a right to express their opinion. Why pay to see someone who is very caustic while expressing their views? Why would the host/audience bring up the color-factor? What difference does it really make? Does the color of a man’s skin or his ethnicity really affect his ability to perform a job?

I feel that the task set before Mr. Obama is great and that big changes will not be immediately recognized; even with the best of intentions. It’s funny that someone called him a “sock puppet”. Not “ha-ha” funny, but the makes-you-think funny. I’m a conspiracy theorist by nature, possibly maintaining the number 2 spot. (McGruder seems to have the number 1 spot!) And I feel that the political system is somewhat crazy – for lack of a better term. After reading John Grisham’s “The Brethren”, you will see why I feel they way I do. I’m currently reading “The Appeal” by said author. Even though it’s fiction, I would not be surprised if some of this stuff really happens.

What is going on with our people are our issues and in 2009 you can not keep blaming what happen years ago. If I do not succeed, it because of me that I don’t succeed; when President Obama (show him respect) looks in the mirror he is Black man. When white Americas looks at him he is Black! Not only is he black but his wife is a Dark Skinned women.

What does it matter if his father was a slave in America or not.

Truth be told we don’t know if his ancestors in Africa were slaves, do you not remember OUR history, WE enslaved US before Europeans did. WE sold US to the Europeans. So in theory WE started the Slave mentality…WE SHOULD BE WORKING TOGETHER AND NOT TRYING TO TEAR US DOWN, WHICH IS WHAT AARON’S WORDS IS DOING!!!!

i kind of agree with him. yes at the end of the day barack looks black but he is not african american. well technically he is because his father is african and he is american but he does not have the slave mentality and was not a descendant of a slave. perhaps thats why he is not an ANGRY BLACK ACTIVIST which would have lost him the race. He really can not identify with “the struggle” so why are black ppl so upset he did not specifically address the problems in the black community? He is not black!! HE is BIRACIAL both. Accept it and move on. Plus, the black community problem is not a federal issue. It is an individual and state issue. People need to write in to their mayors and be more active in their communities. Learn to read, stay in school, WORK, protect the environment is recycle, learn about nutrition. COME ON PEOPLE!!!!
