Making Our Ears Bleed: 8 Rappers Who Should Hang Up Their Mics

Good music is hard to come by these days, especially in a culture where people prefer great beats over lyricism. Never is this so true than in Hip Hop.

Here’s 8 rappers we think should throw in the towel.

big sean

Big Sean

It may seem like Big Sean is safe because he makes “feel good” music so people don’t judge him as harshly, but the fact that he labeled himself Kanye West’s protégé is disappointing. Kanye makes great music and has lyrical ability. People expect his protégé to do the same.

The Last Train To Paris CD was an epic fail. We want to see Diddy behind a desk making people get him cheesecake or anything besides rapping. Just cause Biggie is one of the best of all time doesn’t me you are too.

chief keef

Chief Keef

We know he has a deal with Interscope and back in the day that use to mean something because you were among the likes of Eminem, Dr. Dre, and 50 Cent. In other words Interscope use to have the A-team of Hip Hop and now they have Chief Keef.

2 chains

2 Chains

2 Chains bars are elementary at best and he definitely can’t hold his own among titans such as Eminem, Kanye West or Drake. Plus his name is 2 Chains, need we say more?

asap rocky

ASAP Rocky

His bars are trash and he rocks a skirt without shame. You may say well Kanye wears skirts, but Kanye has given the world great music, ASAP hasn’t.

His voice sounds like a frog crawled into his mouth and died. Besides his relationship with Ciara, his voice is the best thing he has going for him.

trinidad james

Trinidad James

He has only been rapping for a year or less and he stole his swag from the Jerome character on “Martin.” How you rap a whole song without a chorus?

Birdman like Diddy is an excellent business man who has helped mold Lil’ Wayne into the semi-good rapper he is today. However, Birdman needs to leave the rapping to his son and continue to stack that scrilla.
