Oprah Winfrey suspended the principal of of the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy in South Africa and the police arrested the former school matron accused of abusing the girls. Lock that bi*ch up for giving the new school and Oprah’s name a black eye.

    Good that they caught her!! I’m South African and there have been whispers regarding Oprah’s school long before this scandal broke. Parents whose kids attend the school have apparently been complaining that the school is run like a prison. Kids are only allowed visitors once a month, and even at that it’s something like 3 visitors at a time meaning a child with 2 parents and 2 siblings only gets to see her siblings once every 3 months. Sounds kinda fishy to me… but well done to Oprah for personally making sure that the matter is dealt with.

    She’s Oprah, but she is not ubiquitous. She gets mad respect for personally flying to South Africa and making sure things got handled. And she bought all of the girls cell phones so that they could call her (or her people) with any concerns. That’s more than anyone else would have done. Kudos to Big Op.

    Sorry black man, but the percentage of women who are pedophiles are considerably less than the percentage of men who are. And you know it. Put it this way, for every freak at Oprah’s school, there are 5000 men on that A-Sex OffenderPerv’s-In-Your-Hood list. Plus another 5000 on that Catch a Perv show on Dateline. And you know it.

    Work towards reducing that number, and you’ll reduce your double standard. Oh, and while you’re at it, pay child support, stop being an absent father, and glorifying the baby mama-syndrome.

    And this is in no disrespect to the fine black men everywhere.

    i agree with jazzyphile a woman who molests boys or girls is just as bad as a man who molests boys or girls and she deserves to be punished to the same as any man who does the same crime. i dont know how fed up sister turned this into a chance to attack black men but i dont have kids so i dont fall into that category of men you are attacking but thanks for saying no disrespect at the end but we should try to stay on topic my Queen.

    The woman who molested those girls deserves to die. No one should molest a child — male or female. It’s just evil. Female pedophiles should be treated as harshly as male pedophiles, period.

    And Oprah is trying to do the right thing, instead of distancing herself from it. That puts Oprah head and shoulders above a lot of people. Poor Oprah, who went through sexual abuse herself. This is sad, but I agree with Harlem Chic and Baby Please: this too shall p*****, and Oprah will rise above this. the young women who attended this school shall rise above this, too. Prayers for everyone involved.

    F_ck OPRAH!!!!!! she should have started her school over here in the US for African American children who are truly interested in learning. Yeah I said it.

    Why not start an national African American charter school where black kids can actually learn about thier culture and ancestors culture. I heard this article where it said she said the African children would appreciate it more than the US children. That sound like one of the white wig comments people use about black children as an exscuse not to do something. Black history, education and culture does not stand a chance if our own will not help us nor be innovative. From what I hear we americans are stupid anyway, let the immigrants tell it. most of the immigrants says their coutry makes them learn two or three languages fluently while we americans barely know ***** so who needs more education. We can not change our education system ourselves we need a voice. So Oprah can take what she deserves.

    I will never knock Oprah’s success story or how she over came media stereo types and made it during a time when fat black women did not get much media exposure.

    But it’s her money and she did what she thinks is right and has to deal with some consequences.

    Most of our generation can not even relate to Oprah.. that’s why you usually see more white people at her show than black. She barely does subjects that will help her kind. She is mainstream and does topics which keeps her on the air. (Jena and more) ya’ll betta recognize all that glitters is not gold.

    Where would we be if the Malcom and MArtins only said what they needed to say to be in the favor of the general public.
