Old Thing Back: 9 Beloved Music Groups That Should Reunite

- By Bossip Staff Categories: CELEBRITY, Entertainment, For Discussion

Music heads rarely appreciate their favorite groups until they’re performing inside empty Bowling alleys on Tuesday nights. With fame comes unrealistic expectations and unfair scrutiny that never ends. Mostly broken beyond repair, we can only hope that these once beloved groups get it together and reunite.

Here are nine beloved music groups that should reunite. Take a look.

3 Stacks and Big Boi were the greatest Hip-Hop duo ever before Andre looked Erykah Badu in the eyes, knocked her up and started wearing glittery blonde wigs in public. Now, they can’t stand each other (for several rumored reasons) and refuse to do anything Outkast-related.

Lucy Pearl

Tony! Toni! Toné! frontman Raphael Saadiq, A Tribe Called Quest DJ/producer Ali Shaheed Muhammed and Dawn Robinson of En Vogue formed one of the dopest supergroups ever, dropped a timeless album and faded to black.

Pusha T and his tidewater-marinated cornrows are dope solo but far more compelling when paired with Malice who effortlessly provided balance over classic Neptunes production.

Original Big Tymers

A BIG TAHMUZ album without an extravagant 9-minute Mannie Fresh/Birdman intro, hilarious struggle bars about diamond-encrusted everything and glorious Mannie beats? Why would ANYONE want this?

Without Mannie Fresh, Big Tymers 2.0 are a stressful love triangle destined to have Drake/Birdman battles for Wayne’s attention.

Hot Boy$

This probably won’t happen because they’re never all free at the same time (Turk just got out, B.G.’s currently locked up), but a new Mannie Fresh-produced Hot Boys album would be highly-anticipated.

Danity Kane

Famously made-for-TV, the talented Pop collective shined as an “Urban Pop” group before their untimely break-up. Rumored to be reuniting, Pop NEEDS exactly what they are vocally and creatively.

No R&B group SANG for their Angel wings and Halo like the vocally-untouchable R&B trio. How three women sounded like an entire choir, we may never know.

Little Brother

The underground-famous trio are widely-considered one of the greatest Hip-Hop groups of all-time despite never finding mainstream success. Always one hit away, it’s a damn shame they broke up over petty ish.
