More evidence that this recession is real:

Fabolous went from “Nothin’ to Somethin’ ” on his last album, but at an Atlanta restaurant, his credit is back to nothing. The rapper showed up at the hot Eros World Tapas Bar on Saturday with an entourage of more than 20, a source said. They requested “the usual excess of champagne and alcohol, so the manager asked for a credit card to start a tab.” Unfortunately, Fabolous’ credit cards were all declined. “By the fifth credit card, the entourage member designated to take care of his tab goes outside,” our source said, “only to start a fight with the outside bouncer. He tripped and fell, hitting his head on the concrete and started bleeding. The manager called an ambulance. But as soon as the entourage member also saw the police, he began running away, blood oozing down his face.” Fabolous and his posse stayed and ordered champagne but paid cash.

This cat had 5 credit cards declined, but was still ordering up some sh*t. Come on now, we gotta get it together. He knew there wasn’t no dough on those burnt up credit cards. Poor thang.

When I was in 19 in college and tried to order something from Boston Market. I was so ready to eat the macaroni and cheese and pretend like I was eating momma’s cooking. I gave the cashier my card.

It was declined. I was so embarrassed and said outloud, “Oh, the money must not of hit my account yet.”

Most embarrassing experience in life. I feel you Fab…I feel you…

When you are going out check the balance on your card(s). Its embarrassing to go out and try to purchase something or play “Big Willie” and have the machine display show “decline”. Hell I went bailistic in Aldo’s one day when purchasing a pair of boots (that hurt my feet!!) and the salesperson said the transaction didn’t go through and there was a significant amount of (money) credit available and I had checked the balance! Told them to do it again and lo and behold it went through. So Fabo, check yo shit before you try to pay for everyone to have a good damn time on your ass!! If I can’t pay cash then guess what? I aint trying to buy it without knowledge of what is on my card!!

If anyone here has ever had an American Express card, you know they can block your card at any given time-especially if they don’t recognize the type of charges as “regular”.

It’s not always lack of money for us regular folk.

My credit union sucks ass and I cannot use my Visa debit card at Kroger or Wal-Mart(southern stores).

Mine says declined the day after payday direct deposit.

I was thinking the same thing! And I do not feel story for rappers/ actors/anyone that does not invest or save their money. Too busy buying bling, cars. materialistic stuff and hoes…

When was the last time he put out a record anyway? He should be paying off those credit cards and getting his money right or hiring a new accountant…

I have yet to have the “credit card decline” experience… There is nothing better than financial freedom!

Why was the bar trying to run the credit card anyway if they were paying cash? So ni$$az could pay as they eat? That’s pathetic. Truth is – they don’t treat everyone like that. Just dudes that look like gangsters… and although its not cute to NOT have credit, when you grow up tough on these streets you usually mess ur credit up at an early age because its a struggle to stay on top.

Sometimes banks/credit card companies decline purchases they deem “unusual” for your normal spending habits. It’s happened to me and I had to call the bank’s fraud dept. and verify that I was the one making the purchase. So that might have been what happened.
