Jada Pinkett’s Mother Reveals Past Struggles With Drug Addiction

Hollyweird actress Jada Pinkett recently teamed up with her daughter Willow and mother Adrienne for a Redbook photo shoot, where Jada’s mother also revealed how she became addicted to drugs shortly after giving birth to Jada at a young age.

Flawless skin definitely runs in Jada Pinkett Smith’s family and its evidenced in the recent photo shoot the family took for Redbook.

The trio showed their strong bone structure and graceful smiles in the July issue, proving that beauty is prevalent at any age. The story also reveals how Jada’s mother, Adrienne Banfield Jones, was a former drug addict who struggled to raise Jada as a single mother.

Adrienne told her granddaughter, Willow: “I had mommy when I was very young and then I got addicted to drugs after mommy was born. It was a very difficult time for us growing up with her and Jada did not have the kind of life that you have now.”

Despite her mother’s mistakes, 40 year old Jada remains close with her mother: “I turned all of that into power. So I used those things as motivation.”

Kudos to mama Jada for overcoming her addiction and also to Jada for pushing through what sounds like a pretty rough childhood to become who she is today. We can also see that Jada definitely got it from her mama….Ms. Adrienne is a beautiful woman.
