LL Cool J sat down with MTV and took the time to diss and question Jay-Z’s leadership at Def Jam. LL has a problem with Jay not allowing other Def Jam artists shine off of a American Gangster soundtrack.

Someone tell LL it’s not Camel’s fault his licking his lips is not cuttin’ it anymore. Watch the video right about now

he makes a good point, though. you can’t be leading the “team” if you make yourself the only player in the game.

  • lolo

    LL just being a B!tch.

  • malcolm

This fool is so ignorant. The AG soundtrack is a period piece, so why would you have rappers all over it? did they have hip hop music in the 60’s and early 70’s. he’s been working on his album for a year is your album ready?

Son your contract is up move on

Memo to LL your 40 yrs old STOP dressing like Jim Jones. Btw crying about Jay & dressing like Jim Jones you’re looking like a real meatball.

  • Skidmarked Undies

LL, JayZ and Nas should collaborate as a group and call themselves GRUMPY OLD MEN.

  • Bronx Brawler

LL has been in the game for over 20 yrs but has NEVER opened the door for anybody else son still thinks the game revolves around him. It’s not 1987 clown. Take your daily steroid dose & shut up.

LL’s going to learn who he should and should not mess with. He passed his prime about a decade ago, and hasn’t been relevant since. Jay on the other hand continues to reinvent himself and keep it hot.

For the record, Jay-Z isn’t featured on OFFICIAL American Gangster soundtrack. Jay’s American Gangster CD is “inspired by” the movie, and is Jay’s CD. LL needs to get over it before folks start to get in HIS pockets and he ends up without a job. You can’t be selling much in the game when 99% of your fans wear high heels.

Instead of staying releavant by going at Jay Cool James needs to go sit down somewhere and start his own chapstick company…”Sir Licks Alot Chapstick”

my Bizad, WHAT up baby DROCK!!!

  • LL is right

You all might not like LL but the dude has a good point. Jay should have not taken the Def Jam president position knowing that he still wanted to rap and be in the spotlight and not want to learn the ropes of being a president of huge label while putting in the work thats needed. I think most people don’t get it. Although Jay-Z is one of the greatest rappers of all time he was not groomed or prepared to be the president of Def Jam. It’s just like Michael Jordan most people believe he is the greatest player of all time myself included but as the president of the Wizards he sucked and he sucked because he was not prepaired and he did not put in the same effort being the president as he did on the court. What made Mike Great was he worked his butt off at practice and the off season and it showed on the court, but as the president of the Washington Wizards he spent most of his time not in the office but at home in Chicago. Being great at one thing does not translate to automatically being great at other things.

LL’s right about Jay-Z promoting himself first before other artists but as most people on here mentioned already He’s needs to just leave the label and just do his own thing. One more thing…I thought he was making moves to go with G-Unit. What happened with that??

I have loved LL for over 20 years…but this is a side of him that is not cool. whether or not he thinks he has a good point, he is not coming off well. he is just sounds jealous.

i think if LL still wants to rap – he needs to get in where he can fit in and bring the fire. if he is still good, it will show.

REAL TALK tho if LL is serious, why doesn’t he take it to where it really MATTERS….THE BOOTH!!!! Instead of being a lil girl and going to the media take to the MIC….
