Michael Jackson reaches out to Ebony Magazine and shares his views on gossip and him being the same old Michael he was back in his Thriller days:
“I don’t pay attention to that. In my opinion, it’s ignorance. It’s usually not based on fact. … Every neighborhood has the guy who you don’t see, so you gossip about him. You see those stories about him, there’s the myth that he did this or he did that. People are crazy!”
“That Michael is probably the same Michael here. I just wanted to get certain things accomplished first. But I always had this tug in the back of my head, the things I wanted to do, to raise children, have children. I’m enjoying it very much.”
Michael is right but in his case we do see him and although there may be “myths” about what he has done, we can still see his face and that is not the same Michael that was in Thriller.

@ John, yes his body is all the same color. He did a couple videos back in the day with a t-shirt on and you can see his arms and upper chest.
I still call it vitiligo, my mom and brother have it. Because he’s an entertainer, I’m sure Mike took the steroid cream to lighten his skin instead of going through the ’slow’ process of losing skin pigment over time. With that cream, you have to sit under a special light for 15-20 minutes a day. It takes time. If anyone can remember the ‘BAD’ album cover or video, he was a little light. Then when the next album and video’s came out, he was even lighter than before. That’s what that steroid cream does. People must think…would you rather see him like this or with his brown skin and white patches all over? Look it up on the web.

Why would anyone want to cling to ignorance?
It has been repeatedly do*****ented that Michael Jackson suffers from vitiligo. Instead of making stupid, uninformed comments about what choice of make-up he could or should have been using, spend the time educating yourself about the condition and treatment options. If you took the same amount of time to look up facts and information as you do making uninformed comments about a man’s inner feelings about race and self that you would have no way of knowing, you would see how ignorant you come off with your comments. It is not as simple as using a darker shade of makeup depending on the extensiveness of the disease.
You need to also be reminded that, as with any disease, you or someone you love, may very well get vitiligo. Are you then going to tell them that they must be self-haters of their race? Are you going to make fun of their pale skin color? Are you going to tell them how scary they look? Will you be understanding when others stand around insulting your loved one over a condition that they can not help having? Will you be understanding when people prefer to make ignorant statements about their appearance rather than have empathy?
I see a young student in school with the beginnings of it; I could never imagine saying any of the things that you are posting. I could never be that cruel of a person and would never want to be. Cruelty is not something that makes you “cool” or beautiful.
As for cosmetic/plastic surgery, to each his own. I’m sure that are many hear with weaves, relaxers, wigs, make-up on the face, cosmetically changed features, etc. You aren’t exactly as you were without any changes yourselves.
If you are truly concerned about his feelings towards his race, there are many quotes from him and others who actually know him (not tabloid reporters and those reading gossip for news and information) that go to the heart of the matter. There is a wealth of information concerning his giving to organizations that support people of his race.
If you truly want to be truthful, you will seek out the truth. Otherwise, you would be admitting that you like clinging to ignorance. And for that, Michael Jackson would rise above you all know matter his looks or yours. Ignorance and the desire to stay in that ignorance is far uglier than any physical trait.
One person even commented how much Michael Jackson lies, yet didn’t offer a shred of proof of what lies were told in the Ebony article. Comments about his children were made regardless of the facts that have been cited concerning his relationship with his children from people who have first-hand knowledge.
It seems that Michael Jackson may not be the one with “inner issues” but those hear with the need to project feelings and thoughts onto him and his life that have no factual basis.
Shallowness to the point of wanting to cling to ignorant and baseless “opinions” is far sadder than anything about Michael Jackson’s looks.
He should NOT be allow to have children anywhere near him BUT i think what he’s done to himself puts him into a another league unlike any man before him and thats what he wanted, unfortunately~ He has to be insane, of course, to do this to himself, but its also intriguing, to me, what he has done here~ Somehow i get the feeling he smells like some sort of chemical, maybe embalming fluid or bleach? I think the government must have experimented on his parents back in the 50s like they did what them airmen of Tuskegee, put something into their vaccines and thats why they created these strange children!
