Most folks watch award shows solely for the hilarious fawkery and Twitter commentary without ever caring about the actual awards. Yes, we’re all terrible human beings who enjoy watching booze-fueled trainwrecks on national TV and that’s perfectly OK.

Here are eight celebs who were wasted (or high on everything) during Awards shows. Take a look.

Paula Patton, 2013 BET Awards

Robin Thicke’s swirly Goddess was gone off ALL the Mollies and never came down in the most bizarre yet memorable moments of this year’s raggedy BET Awards.

Jay-Z, 2013 Grammys

Hovvie Hov was so wasted that he poured liquor into his Grammy and sipped from it like a true filth God. New rules.

Rihanna, 2013 Grammys

The YOLO-minded hoodrat princess is always wasted or Pluto-high in public and sparked talk with her gleefully-spacey behavior on music’s biggest night.

Britney Spears, 2007 VMAs

The Amanda Bynes trainwreck is cool but Brit-Brit had the greatest white girl wasted moments of all-time. Once considered a must-see live performer, she sloppily-twerked off-beat, stumbled and giggled with her pot belly glistening in the bright lights.

Mariah Carey, 2010 People’s Choice Awards

Mimi is classy when she’s not a shady diva, dressed like a 43-year-old hoochie or slizzard like she was in this infamous People’s Choice Awards moment.

Anna Nicole Smith, ’94 American Music Awards

The most iconic Anna Nicole Smith moment? Probably this. Pure drunken hilarity.

Lily Allen, 2008 Glamour Awards

On a scale of 1-Paula Patton on the moon, the trashy Amy Winehouse wanna-be was a strong 15 and had to carried out of the Awards.
