I am glad she is working her way back. My nother was murdered in our home so I can somewhat identify. It still bothers me and it was years ago. Good for her. To bad the are now exposing her lipsynching. She still an amazing job. It was flawless.

My heart goes out to her for losing her Mother, Brother and Nephew. I actually cried for her loss. However I cannot give her a pass on her attitude. I saw a video of her being a little rude and I just think it was no need for that. True I know she is going through a hard time, I truly understand, But if she committed a crime losing a love one would not be an excuse. I guess what I am trying to say is you can take them out the hood but, you know the rest. Leave all that damn DIVA SHIT AT HOME. And that goes for all of the so call DIVAS/ I would not trade places with Punk.

It’s great that she is getting back out. Like someone said earlier, Jennifer’s attitude make me not like her. She has always come off as rude and arrogant to me. I hope her attitude has taken a turn for the better. Jennifer is a boring performer and her voice is usually all over the place. I would see her in concert only if an artist I liked was a guest artist.

Good luck to Jennifer. I hope she has interesting guest performers cause Jennifer’s live performances are usually flat and uninteresting.

Good to see her and I agree, it is a relief to see someone that can actually sing be recognized.

I never thought she would make it, she has been trying to recover, postponed/cancelled a few things.

WTF are either of you talking about?!!..What attitude?!!..every interview or television appearance I have ever seen of Jennifer she was nice and very polite, overly friendly even to reporters who were harrassing her….Too many people mistake cool confidence for arrogance nowadays…and it’s usually the people with the low self esteem that don’t really know the difference because they themselves aren’t confident to begin with. Please post a link to these supposed attitude showings she has given..She is sassy which is the reason(besides that powerhouse voice) I liked her in the 1st place, but since when was sass a bad thing?..I just feel like you 2 ladies are reaching….

@MWNY..They(Jennifer,Fantasia and Jazmine)kinda sorta have all been on the same track. The original version of “I’m His Only Woman”(from Jennifer’s disc) featured Jazmine Sullivan as co-vocalist..because she was a virtual unknown or not as known as Fantasia…the version with her was left off the album..and they used the version with Fantasia..but they STILL kept Jazmine Sullivan’s background vocals…just FYI..

I have to disagree about her voice. Jennifer Hudsons voice is pure and from the soul. She has more talent in one note than most of these “so call R& B broads” out today.

I will however agree about her attitude. At first glance she seemed kind of stuck up and very defensive and angry. But hey when you gotta fight for your status and come up it makes your exterior tough. I don’t fault her for who she is I commend her and I think she is a GREAT GREAT talent.

First, no, I’m not a Beyonce/Rihanna stan. I find both of those girls overexposed. Beyonce has talent, but I’m tired of her. Rihanna is just a pretty girl, but has little to no talent.

Second, I have heard Jennifer perform and live, she is not very good. I remember her “Movies Rock” performance had to be re-done because she messed up the first time. She begged the producers could she do it over, and that was the performance that was shown on tv (canned applause an all). I have seen her perform and she often misses the mark, and her personality is neither vibrant nor engaging. Now, the girl has pipes, but she trouble controlling it. That is a common problem with many big-voiced singers. Her voice is huge, but it lacks color and depth. When she sings, I do not believe a word coming from her mouth. Words are coming out, but their is no feeling or meaning behind them.

Congrats to Jennifer for being able to come thru the storm..I also agree a show with her and Fantasia would be great…I frequent Los Angeles alot ..saw Jhud when she was on American Idol..she was in the Apple computer store in the Beverly Center u could tell she didnt want to be bothered but then again i think it was because her hair wasnt done and she was very casual..Saw her again..but this time met her outside the Bet awards and she was an absolute doll..she greeted me and my friend..asked us where we were from..told us about her upcoming projects (this was before her cd came out and before Dreamgirls) i found her to be very nice..yeah she had a little homegirl flavor but basically seemed to be a cool person!
