We already know she’s not missing Royce, but Is Shaunie torn over Jen’s exit?

Shaunie O’Neal Talks Jennifer Williams And Royce Reed Leaving Basketball Wives

With the upcoming season of Basketball Wives Miami set to air soon, the ladies who are left on the cast are starting to make their promo rounds early.

BBW head honcho Shaunie O’neal recently dished on the new season, including the exit of veteran cast members Jennifer Williams and Royce Reed and why some cast members’ exits were “necessary.”

Since “Basketball Wives” premiered, five women have left the show, and Shaunie O’Neal admitted that some cast members’ exits have been easier than others.

Season 5 of the show premieres Monday, August 19, and it will be the first without original cast members Jennifer Williams and Royce Reed.

Season 4 viewers likely remember that Royce’s role was already somewhat limited, since a number of her co-stars refused to shoot scenes with her after season 2.

“Some of the exits were necessary, just because it wasn’t clicking anymore. It’s hard to continue filming with people that you just have nothing else to talk about or nothing in common with, or that relationship has withered away,” Shaunie explained to Sister 2 Sister without naming names.

Shaunie also went on to drop a big hint that she wasn’t at all happy about the way Jen left the show. Hit the flip to hear what else she had to say.

Though anyone who tuned into last season could see that anti-drama Jen’s exit from the show was inevitable given the messy turn things took between she and Evelyn, Shaunie seems to feel some type of way about her former fellow cast member throwing the deuces.

Royce was the cast member doing her own thing as a former NBA dancer, women of whom most “wives” are not fond, but Jennifer was definitely “in the circle.”

“You have other people that situations made it bad and situations made your friendship different…[things] that are out of your control. I hate to see those moments happen,” she said. “That’s not a great way to see somebody go. I wish some people could have stayed and made it work.”

Last season, there were eight cast members including newcomers, Kenya Bell and Kesha Nichols. Neither is returning. With Jen and Royce gone, only three original cast members remain: Suzie Ketcham, Evelyn Lozada and Shaunie. Tami Roman, who first signed on for season 2 of the show, will also be back.

Hmmm sounds like Shaunie is having second thoughts about Jen’s exit for sure. Do you think she should have stayed on for one more season?
