Just because the republican candidate may have never openly made racist remarks doesn’t mean s/he isn’t racist. Will voting for the Republican candidate improve the lives of black folks in that district? That’s the most important thing to consider. This isn’t just removing some racist from the airwaves. Candidates have the political power to impact our socioeconomic lives. Be outraged, demand that she make a public apology, but REMEMBER to think. Furthermore, if we’re so tired of how white folks view us…we need to create more viable candidates who have the welfare of our communities at heart.
