After signing with the Atlanta Braves this offseason, it was only a matter of time before B.J. Upton did a little housecleaning, and apparently that time is now. The five-tool outfielder, who played eight seasons for the Tampa Bay Rays before leaving to sign a massive five-year, $75.25 million contract with the Braves in November, has listed in the coveted Davis Islands of Tampa, FL.

Records show that Upton, who is part of a powerhouse Atlanta outfield that includes his brother Justin and Jason Heyward, paid $1.437 million for the Mediterranean-style home in early 2011. He stands to make a tidy profit of roughly $156,000 after listing the home for $1.6 million.

Built in 2003, Upton’s very Shane Battier property weighs in at 5,270 square feet, with five bedrooms and five bathrooms. The home has great flow from room to room and seamlessly integrates interior and exterior living spaces with rows of French doors, sliders and windows.

Inside, the two-story residence boats a host of luxury appointments, including a wrought-iron staircase in the foyer, vaulted ceilings and wood flooring throughout. An entertainer’s dream, Upton’s home features a host of high-end amenities, including a custom wine cellar, a media room and a gourmet kitchen with top-tier appliances. The all-star pad rounds out with a resort-style pool with a spa, a poolside kitchen and a tiki wet bar.

With a $75.25 million contract, we’re sure his next home will be a little nice than this one.

Flip it to see how B.J. was livin’.
