Barry Bonds was indicted by a federal grand jury on perjury and obstruction of justice charges today.

Passing Babe Ruth and later breaking the all-time record probably made some folks mad.

  • Jauron

Maybe lookin like a f*ggot is sparking the hate??

  • Brenda

They did this on purpose. They could have charged BB a long time ago but they waited until he passed the homerun record.

Is Arsenio having a heart attack?

Good. Pumpkin Head is so amazingly arrogant. That’s a nasty SOB.

  • boris

Doesnt really matter there a few Black hitters on the way to breaking it again…

When Babe Ruth got his glory, there was no one to challenge him. Just like when Navratilova was whoopin ass.. NOW, anyone that break those records are seen as 20 times better than those people..

Babe Ruth played the game in its infancy.

You don’t need steroids to hit a ball. and once oyu hit a homer, it will never matter how fast you can run..

  • N-Qui-Sa-Tive

Politics. Every genre has it. What ever happened to McGuire. Did he go to jail for lying about steroids?

  • http://www.viewparkonline.com Angie

Not so much about the home run as it might be that he’s a complete jackass who cheated and lied about it under oath.

They’ve been trying to get to him for 4 years, so if they’re ready to indict now, they must have everything they need.

    Too bad.

  • M-DADDY OAKLANDS FINEST

Honestly being from Oakland I certainly have a dislike for the Giants, but until they can prove he did use steriods they need to get off his dick

  • Ghost

He already admitted to doing Riods. He claimed he didn’t know what his trainer was injecting him with. THe feds thinkotherwise and that’s why it took so long to get him. It’s about time. Now lets get the rest of them.

  • smartarse

It took so long because they were hoping that they could get his trainer to snitch….they were waiting for the icing on the cake….

I don’t feel comfortable making this a race issue…. Mark Mcguire pleaded the 5th…. can’t lie when you say I don’t want to say anything because I will get myself in trouble….

Mark is just as much as a cheater as Barry….

it’s called Karma…..all things done in the dark will come to the light…..

It’s his time to pay the devil….

Nah, it was just THE STEROIDS!

I once had a white friend who told me that white men are very jealous at the fact that their children and women worship black athletes. Absolutely no doubt that this is playing a role. They seem to be very insecure. There are so many other things the feds could be investigation (eg. the west virginia woman who was a victim of a hate crime, voter fraud in the past two elections, illegal wiretapping and monitoring of internet activity).

  • smartie

I hope the book gets tossed at his ass and he can kite in prison with OJ and hold the mirror up to look out of his cage. Mark Echo should be wondering what possesed him to pay so much for a worthless ball.

  • Doc-2-B

it’s funny how many black folks defended him despite the evidence that he was using steroids…did the “establishment” wait on purpose until after he passed Hank Aaron’s record to indict him? Maybe. Doesn’t change the fact that he disgraced himself, baseball, and Hank Aaron’s record by using steroids. I’m sure he’ll be begging for his people to give him support as YT hauls his ass off to jail…

^^^^ They are one in the same

  • red sox fan

All of them do steriods pretty much or some type of performance inhancer, but if you are a black man, you will get penialized, persecuted and demonized. That’s just how america is. BTW even if he did use steroids, it may have given him the power to hit the ball harder, but it wont give you the eyes to see and time the ball. Why do you think Jose Canseco struckout so many times? cause he didn’t have that talent that Barry had. So all in all, he is very talented.

    you haters!

  • Marx

All of you people hating Barry Bonds need to quit! Know your history, when Babe Ruth go the record he did it against inferior pitching (the best pitchers weren’t allowed to play in the major leagues–Negro League pitchers like Satchel Paige) when Aaron got the record from him he did it witht the help of amphetamines which until a couple of years ago was rampant in MLB. So now they want to indict Bonds??? Why now??? Maybe it’s because he just filed for free agency?? Ask yourself this why aren’t we going after the pitchers Roger Clemens and Eric Gagne??? Because America wants to make an example of a Black athlete who won’t shuck adn jive. While we are at it why don’t we go after the owners who made BILLIONS turned a blind eye to steriods and knowningly allowed these players to destroy their bodies. Let’s not forget Rafael Palmiero who testifed before CONGRESS that he never took steriods then tested positive 3 weeks later. Where is his in indictment??? Our country is at war adn all the justice department has to do is build a case against an Athlete. I live in California where our governor is an admitted ex-steriod abuser. I know a lot alot of you will say but it wasn’t illegal then well to that I say it wasn’t illegal in baseball. If the owners wantedit out they could have lobbied for testing in 94 or 95 (the strike year). They didn’t because they were making too much money.. I can list 10 players whose numbers fell sharply after testing was introduced. Come on this nothing more than a modern day LYNCHING!!

  • Marx

Oh yeah I forgot I should mention that Bonds is a prick!! I hate him but there exists a double standard with respect to steriods in baseball.
