Marriage is like having a child. The anticipation, expectations are so exciting. But then it happens and people figure out whoa! this is a lot of work. I didn’t know it was going to be this hard. Both of those situations will only be succesful if you are unselfish. And that is easier said than done. And that is why so many people fail.
Over time people change, situations change and instead of sticking with it and going with the changes, they bail b/c it is easier. Instead of growing together they grow apart. So, after sometime your spouse isn’t the one you married and it wasn’t going to be the way you thought. So, you find someone else to give you that excitement, to pay attention to you, make you feel appreciated.

Marriage is the hardest job you will ever have.
It is a contstant compromise and a never ending negotiation. Nothing will ever make you feel more vulnerable. Your spouse doesn’t complete you, they compliment you.

And babies will not save a marriage or make someone love you more. It will drive them away.
If one cannot handle the responsibilities and commitment of a marriage there is no way they can handle a baby too.

I think because people can’t handle rejection. I think it is easier to blame someone else than to accept the fact their “other” just doesn’t want to be with them anymore. Rejection = your not good enough in some people’s minds. But usually rejection is a blessing in disguise.
