Sorry, for her tragedy but the cd was not good and should not have won an award. The video is so-so and she needs to fire her stylist and if she doesn’t have one then clearly she needs to get in touch with one soon.

At this point I don’t think they are. She didn’t win AI and never gave up. So I think in some form or fashion she has somewhat paid her dues.

She was told to tone it down, change her image, lose weight…so many things and she just stuck w/it.

I think that came w/maturity and patience – not given to her.

Now fefe, if I’m leaving something out feel free to correct me and intercept…but I think she’s a hardworker.

She wasn’t getting sympathy because she dropped out of the public eye, she made that choice…she didn’t run around w/sunglasses on, talk to the press, make random appearances or the latter.

I think she did a good job of not playing into the media and using them as an outlet.

As for her awards…she can sing.

At this point in her career she gets whatever she deserves.

Maybe it’s her time, even if it is being overshadowed and in sync w/the deaths of her family members.

Jennifer Hudson has been getting awards way before her tragedy- So to suggest that she is only getting awards because of the situation with her family is ridiculous espicially because she is so talented. People will argue that about Heath Ledger, but his performance in the Dark knight was flawless and there was alot of buzz concerning his performance before he died and alot of buzz concerning JHUD’s album before her family was killed- so how can that be ignored-

I enjoyed the album and believe she deserved her grammy and any other awards that come her way. This is a great song!

jennifer has been receiving awards etc for her talent but that is only a part of what i’m saying i feel everyone’s attitude (yes ill be assumptive) is very biased to her personal situation now and i feel that this special treatment towrds her should stop. its like britney spears when she had her comeback and was winning her awards.
i know they aren’t in the same league.
i know jennifer might/not have deserved the grammy,

That was not a dig at you it was just my opinion about ppl who are able to empathize (to understand and feel concern for others situation or feelings) rather than sympathize which is two entirely different things.
Unfortunatley, I dont find much substance or maturity in today’s music therefore I can appreciate Jennifer’s voice and material.

Not to take anything away from your judgement, I just find the song and video refreshingly mature and age appropriate. I wouldnt want to see or her her singing or doing anything less. Everyone’s opinion is different and mine is so not bc of the deaths in her family.
