The chief technology officer at Business Insider, a business and technology website, has been fired for sexist, racist and homophobic tweets.
The action came as Pax Dickinson’s tweets were posted by Silicon Valley blog Valleywag on Monday. Many of Dickinson’s tweets had been posted over three years ago, but Valleywag was just recently made aware of them.
“Who has more dedication, ambition, and drive? Kobe only r-ped one girl, Lebron r-ped an entire city. +1 for Lebron.”
“In The Passion Of The Christ 2, Jesus gets raped by a pack of n—-rs. It’s his own fault for dressing like a whore though.” (Dickinson spelled the word out.)
Henry Blodget, Business Insider CEO, said he wasn’t commenting beyond a statement posted on the Business Insider website Monday:
“A Business Insider executive has made some comments on Twitter that do not reflect our values and have no place at our company. The executive has left the company, effective immediately.
