While “mankind” may have originated in the Horn of Africa, that was tens of thousands of millenia before contemporary races first appeared about 15,000kya. By that time, Somalis, Ethiopians and Eritreans had long been isolated from blacks and thus evolved independently from them. It wasn’t until the Bantu expansion of around 3000kya that the black race first made its appearance in the Horn of Africa where Somalis, Ethiopians and Eritreans had already been. This is why Horners, on the one hand, look the way they do, and blacks, on the other, look the way they do. It has nothing whatsoever to do with inter-mixture, but everything to do with entirely separately evolution. Somalis also genetically cluster with North Africans, not blacks. Nice try though.

Alright, why are people arguing over Somalis, just let genetics talk. According to this, Somalis are indiginous Black Africans!!!! Period! There are some who are mixed, but those people are called Banadiirs. Ethinic Somalis like Iman have no Arab in them. What people forget is that the horn of Africa is where mankind start out!! These people, Somali, Nubian, Ethiopian are the original people, and of course, would resemble all mankind. Stop this nonsense please.

Wow, I was counting how many posts it would take before this stupid thing about Somali’s and their race would come up. First of all, in Africa, people go by ethinicity/tribes, NOT blackness! This whole thing about black or white was born in America, and never had any roots in Africa, and never does. SEcondly, yes Somali’s are not “negroid” rather “Cu*****ic” and belong to the same family as Afars, nubians and other people of the Horn. But hey, this is the diversity of Africa and black people, accept it. I as a Somali, see myself as Somali first, then African and finally black. Like I said, no group on the continent labels themselfs “black”. Even the Dinkas, the darkest people on earth, cl*****ify themselves according to their ethnicity, not their blackness.

Reading all this make me so sad because my mother is from Somalia and my father is from caribean island of Tobago…I am so proud of both cultures I can not even express it …because I know I am 100% black..both my parents are very dark people ..yes they have curly but both are dark and very beautiful and we have 0 white blood in us(dna was tested for my little brother ..but that is another long story)..when people see me they *****ume I am mixed or latino…they are shocked when I tell them I am 100% black and 50% direct African black…what people dont understand since African black are the first people of the world we can reproduce any/all races features through many dna turn-overs and reproduction cycles …you never know african black albinos were the begining of whites who were banned and migrated to live in (caucus) caves because of the shame of thier looks…from then on through natural evolution and geography we have so many races to day …so somtime it could come back full circle…But please believe I am a proud black afrian caribean heritage women. Though I am not an african American (because I am not born in America) I think african american are wonderful too.. just think they just need to love and appreciate themselves more.

Y’all are soooo silly. We got Somalis fighting Somalis, Africans fighting African Americans, White dude calling all of us NIGGROS, lol and the drama continues.

Fact #1: Somalis are of Oromo descent (largest Ethiopian ethnic group). We share Al-Islam with the Arabs and have some mixtures, we are NOT Arabic (nothing to be proud of -they are racist as hell and taught us to hate other Africans too). We are very proud of our differences in general (not better but proud) of not fitting in a category subscribed by the white man. The white man tell as we are black and we say what the hell is black? We are Somali! The white man says here is the bible, we say…what is a bible? We are Muslims….lol -true!

Fact #2: Historically we are all from Africa. But the the Africans who recently immigrated to America, need to know that they are now “African American too.”

Fact #3: WE ARE BEAUTIFUL…IMAN IS BEAUTIFUL…I AM BEAUTIFUL…AND SO ARE YOU…. CUZ WE BLACK AND DON’T CRACK!
