I didn’t get to see the video (it’s been removed)but hearing about his breakdown touches my heart. It reminds me of when Tiger Woods broke down at the first tournament he won after his father died.

The death of a beloved parent changes your whole world. I was fortunate enough to be with both parents when they passed and the last words my father said was his mother’s name and the last word my mother said was “Mommy.”

wow, I have loving relationships with both my parents. When my dad passed, I took a week off from work. I didn’t go out and do a concert less than a week later. i don’t even think she’s been buried yet, has she. I read tomorrow is the funeral.

Oh Kanye! I hope he has true friends and family to lean on for support. I hope he realizes his mother will always be by his side, watching over him. And I hope he takes the advice from his own song, “what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger”.

Awww man Kanye keep your head up baby to sad. Kanye needs to know that it is ok to break down and cry. Forget that, man or woman people need to know that it is normal to grieve in different ways when you have lost a loved one.

I’m convinced that those of us who can truly empathize…because we’ve been there with the lose of a parent…understand this grief process in ways that others cannot. Again, if going on tour gives Kanye an ounce of comfort, then it’s all good.

Cuba, I know you suffered a loss this year, so my thoughts are with you and others as we approach this holiday season.

Best wishes and hopes for all of the blessings of the Lord to Kanye for strength. It’s difficult I’m sure and yet he is trying to remain brave at a time when it would be understood if he were at his weakest. What a soldier to step out there and give it a try- he was in the right place {Paris} to receive the comfort and support of the crowd… Lord only knows how some crass a$$ North Americans would have responded judging from some of the cruel and heartless remarks posted here….

The people that consistently makes negative remarks about other people especially during tragedy are very insecure and dreadful people. In this particualer case they probably aren’t very close with their parents if they have any at all. Those of us who have loving relationships with our parents will respond with compassion and not with a “twist” – besides his mother would not want him holed up something balled up in fetal position – she’d want him to carry on! People can grieve in whatever way they choose – I lost my father back in July and it can be 20 years from now – if I hear a certain song that reminds me of him I am going to break-down. Kanye will never be able to perform that song ever again without emotion….EVER! Nor will he ever be able to just erase it from his concerts now that it serves as a tribute to the woman he loved so very much.
