Tatts and braids do not define a mans character.

This man has paid a heavy price for his past indisecretions. The media disparage his character at every turn. He has made mistakes in the past and has paid for them.

He has various charities for the poor

Many of you folks believe anything that someone else tells you. Its called the ‘herd mentality’. Allen Iverson threw his own wife out of their home and went on a rampage afterwards to look for her, he has been cited for carrying an illegal gun, drug possession, initiating a club brawl, and public urination. The guy has had a bad attitude and an air of entitlement his entire adult life, and people on here are making excuses for him.

When the range of comments on here state “he can get it” and “suits don’t make a man” and “he has haters”, I know the U.S. education system and basic home training has completely broken down in this country. I don’t have to personally know someone to determine whether they are good or bad when they have been involved with law enforcement multiple times–especially when this guy makes millions of dollars a year and still can’t control himself.

Stop making excuses for grown people. I don’t care if he is a “father” and a “husband”. Anyone can knock someone up and/or marry someone. He has rarely set a good example for kids, and writing a couple of checks in front of cameras doesn’t excuse that.

^It was Iverson that made it even acceptible for a player like Carmelo to even be able to wear his braids in the first place, so give us a break.

^Denver is still about the same team they were originally, only with a real PG and are a little more balanced. Detroit is worse though..that doesn’t have much to do with Iverson rather the team altogether along with the Couch not knowing how to utilize the team. A player like Iverson is going to the hall of fame regardless, his team not doing well does not take away from the fact that he is one of the best little men the league will ever see. Someones team not doing well isn’t “detrimental to his image” as a good player, he’s a good player regardless, it just means the team isn’t doing well…the only people that find it “detrimental” are the haters that would hate on him regardless.

Hello all,, FTR i been visiting this site for over a year and never felt the need to post a comment but at this point, I’m left with no choice….. First of all I do have braids and have had them since 2000. I aint even finna’comment on the usual “if you have braids you are a thug ish” cause in most cases but not all you are probably: A.white B.Old as hell or C.from the suburbs and still livin’in the suburbs. But the main question is, who made up this certain age cut off where you shouldnt have braids? Like, what does that mean? police will harass u or something? cause they do that regardless of hair or not in my city.What is it harder to get a job if you have braids? Cause last time I checked, my resume said alot more about me then my braids. Or maybe it means you cant get a girlfriend? Cause i been with my PYT for over 8 years now. Or maybe people think your not responsible?… It cant be that cause last I checked I worked my 40 hours, brought home the bacon, and have been a great father to my child whom lives with me and his mom in the same home(not that that defines responsibility). I think Allen looked good with braids. Hair does not make or break a person, but as you get older your image should change. What can he do about all those tattoo’s.
