At this point it is hard to say how either one of them should be considering that no one has the real story. Being a woman I can definitely understand the hurt, pain, emotional stability that you can lose from being hurt by someone that you consider yourself being close too. Well here is the thing. CB’s statement was a legal one. Not one from his own heart or lips.

If CB had said that he was sorry, truly sorry about what he did, and said that to the public and directed it toward Rhianna, would her family and friends been satisfied? I mean if he had said, “I’m sorry Rhianna. And I’m going to get some help”, does that mean that after some time, that would had changed things and maybe she would had taken him back?

I think that’s why Nikki said he is damned either way. To say he is sorry is admission of 100% guilt. But IF there is more to the story, then if he says he’s sorry, then the DA’s office might can hang him up on that admission of guilt alone.

That’s why again, something is not quite right here. There is ALOT more to this story that is being said in the media. I think she took advantange of his probably oversympathetic nature towards women because of past experience and felt like because she was “weaker sex” she could be physically aggressive without any recourse but I guess one night he decided to fight back.

I was about Rihanna’s age actually *lol in that young puppy love when you believe love cannot define how you feel about one another and such…well things started to get “scrappy” & drama filled …restraining order ordered and then dropped…then one day we just realized that we are worth more than staying in a scrap happy relationship. Yes, when folks got involved things really got blown up bigger than what it was…we BOTH were wrong..he had no right to hit me and visa versa….

The second one… was darker…verbal abuse that graduated into physical.. more hate fueled than anything I think…that is all I wish to say on that one…..

maybe chris didn’t owe her an apology because he knows what really went down. He’s upset moreso about how the situation went down rather than his action towards Rihanna. I just think there is more to the story then what’s being said. I hate to pass judge but Rihanna always comes across as the more aggressive one of the two…with her breaking dishes song, and ready to fight leather wearing ass. I am sad to hear your story. My first relationship that I had I was abused. I was a teenager. He hit me for any reason. One time I told him I was going to be late for my curfew and he punched me in the head. As I was getting in the car He kicked me in the chest. I didn’t do a damn thing to provoke it. I just told him I wanted to go home. Anything set him off. I didn’t tell no one. It was too embarassing. People shouldn’t make judgements about this if they haven’t been there first hand.

I had that conversation with my 16 year old son this weekend. A whole hell of a lot of situations like this one can be avoided by being honest with the girl or girls he’s seeing, and, himself. He’s too young to get married and too immature, really to call himself dating one girl. He has a girlfriend, but then there are always other girls texting him. I told him that when he’s old enough to start bringing young women home to meet me, I’m not going to play along w/any dumb shit – I will not co-sign a parade of females when he’s supposed to have 1 girl. If the women know he’s dating other girls, so be it. I’ve also advised him to wrap IT up. I don’t want to bury him over some dumb shit, and, I don’t want him getting an STD from a girl and having to deal w/that for life. Lastly, I’ve told him to try to be respectful to females. It has been over 21 years and the memories never go away. I couldn’t tell my mom, friends or anyone. He was a teenager as well but he was a woman abuser. He was controlling, a liar, and a cheater. I still have mental scars as well as physical. One time after he beat me out doors in the cold I did fight back once I got back inthe car and started punching him in his face while he was driving, but he was too big to over power. If he didn’t go to prison for prior offenses I think I would of been killed.

Critical thinking skills are clearly not being taught in school. First, there is a difference between good and bad information. People are making judgments based on bad info. The only good info is from the police, a witness, or the people involved. The only thing the police have said is that he threatened her and she had visible bruises. The police reported an assault against a woman. Not a fight. Pictures are police Evidence. They won’t be released to the media. If she was bruised up it was by Chris hands. If Chris told the police she was hitting him and there was proof of his injuries she would of been arrested as well. The tabloids made up the story of him being hit first to spark contoversy. As far as why additional charges have not been filed, there was an article in the past few days in the Los Angeles Times, latimes.com, about the gathering of evidence to determine the extent of the injuries and what level of charges could be levied. I’ve posted an excerpt from the article on more than one thread, but, to be honest, I’m tired and this seems like a losing discussion.

He’ll probably lose endorsements if he’s guilty and he’s not just due to controversy. His crossover act is done possibly, but that aint shit because white fans are fickle and flighty in my opinion anyway.

The reason their is beliefs that Rihanna hit Chris first is because of the bite marks. That another reason why I’m not on Rihanna side. She said he beat her up, threaten her, even choked her out. Not once did she mention where the bite marks came from. And bite marks is the act of desparation. wow! there’s so much to say about certain posts on this thread. one of the most troubling sentiments I am reading is bashing Rihanna because she’s Caribbean or isn’t “black enough.” Such stupidity. What is that about? that’s really ignorant. What does Rihanna’s ethnicity have to do with this whole situation.

Trust me, more people (and men) love her accent and exotic looks than than hate it.

I also like what one poster said in Rihanna’s defense that she may not be one of the greatest talents, but she can hold it down. She has a unique voice, chooses good songs and has an amazing sense of style.

There are plenty of people in the world who have been abused or have watched a loved one get abused and have thoughts of killing the abuser or wish death upon them. So I guess I should THINK that all of those people are borderline abusers themselves just waiting to snap? It’s called human emotion.

Never said watching abuse or being abused is normal b/c clearly that is not. Wishing someone was dead AFTER that person abused you or seriously harmed you or a loved one to me is normal. After all, the good ol’ justice system says it is – in the form of capital punishment – which is why the Supreme Court refuses to outlaw it nationally. The death penalty is enacted by many lawmakers as a deterrent for criminals. In a sense, they are threatening offenders and would-be offenders with the punishment of death if they dare kill someone or commit certain acts (raping a child used to be punishable by death in some states).

Yeah I need to learn a lot because I don’t the precise details and follow the ins and outs of the criminal history of every Hollywood celebrity. Unlike a lot of folks, I don’t idolize celebs and put them on a pedestal and deem them God/Idol. If I catch a story about them here and there or happen upon a site such as Bossip I listen or read then move on. They don’t pay my bills and I don’t know them personally so my life doesn’t revolve them. Yeah, there are lots of things to be learned in life as life is an ever-learning process but when it comes to idolizing celebs & desperately trying to know every detail of their life I think I’ll pass.
