Left Eye’s sister reveals what the Lopes family REALLY thought of the TLC biopic

Left Eye’s Sister Reina “Reigndrop” Lopes Speaks On TLC Biopic

Earlier this week, a reported 4.5 million viewers tuned in to watch the much-anticipated TLC biopic that’s been the talk of the industry since official casting choices were announced earlier this year.

Left Eye’s younger sister, who goes by the name of “Reigndrop,” has been acting as the spokesperson for the Lopes family lately, and she even expressed earlier this year that her family (specifically her mother) was hurt that they were not included more in the film’s production process.

However, Reigndrop sang a slightly different and more positive tune after the film finally aired.  Here’s what she had to say:

“It would have been nice if Lisa’s family would have been invited to take part in this journey of making the TLC movie. Honestly, I think it would have added depth to Lisa’s on screen character. I think Lil Mama did a good job at portraying my sis. She did her homework and studied Lisa. As a fan, I know it was important for Lil Mama to represent Lisa correctly–and she did just that! Although the script didn’t allow her to bring Lisa’s true character to light. She did the best with what she had to work with. All the girls did a good job!”

Lil Mama, who portrayed Left Eye in the film, also recently spoke on the Lopes family’s reaction to her  performance as Left Eye and revealed which of the family members was brought to tears. Peep the video of that on the flip.

VLAD TV caught up with Lil Mama to speak with her about the film recently. Skip to about the 4:42 mark to hear how she says Left Eye’s Sister Reigndrop reacted to her performance when she visited the set.
