Kris Humphries’ Father Critizes Kanye West And Kim Kardashian Engagement

The Kardashian crew and their friends might all be excited about KimYe’s recent engagement, but one person who had some not-so-subtle shade for the coupled was none other than Kim’s former father-in-law William Humphries.

Kim Kardashian’s former father-in-law [William Humphries] gave a scouting report of sorts Tuesday on Kim Kardashian’s prospects for matrimonial bliss following her baseball stadium engagement.

“I don’t really care, it’s water under the bridge. But I wish her all best,” Humphries, the father of Kardashian’s former hoopster hubby Kris Humphries, told the Daily News.

West popped the question Monday night in San Francisco during an over-the-top extravaganza at AT&T Park complete with fireworks and a 50-member orchestra.

Asked his reaction to Kardashian’s new engagement ring – which is by the same designer his son used but slightly smaller in size – William Humphries laughed.

“(West) probably didn’t choose it,” he scoffed. “Does a leopard really change its spots? I don’t think so. Not much changes, it’s just different actors this time around.”

However, papa Humphries didn’t stop there. He rounded out his bitter bird-like rant by throwing even more shade at KimYe’s recent revelation of plans for future nuptials and managed to take a shot at the Kris & Bruce Jenner relationship drama in the process.

He said he hadn’t spoken to his son about the news as of Tuesday but was confident the 28-year-old was more concerned about his future with the Boston Celtics than his past with Kardashian, 33.

“I’m sure he doesn’t think about that stuff anymore. He’s getting ready to play,” he said.

He laughed again when asked if he thinks Kardashian and West will last longer than 72 days and couldn’t resist a dig at the recently announced separation of Kardashian’s mom Kris Jenner and her husband Bruce Jenner.

“Well, if Bruce and Kris are any indication, I’d say good luck. She’s stepping right into it all over again,” the elder Humphries said.

We’re not surprised that Kris’ father doesn’t exactly have great things to say about his former daughter-in-law of 72 days, but he does sound just a liiiiiiittle salty. Like father, like son.
