Timbaland Engaged to Publicist, Has New Daughter

Timbaland recently proposed to his publicist, Monique Idlett, and they announced today the birth of a new baby. She is probably the one who leaked this to People
Idlett, 33, gave birth to their daughter just a couple of days ago, according to the source.
Timbaland and Idlett have been dating for two years, and “they’re both really happy together,” says the source. “They’ve known each other for years.”
Good for them although we give it a few years, Timberfake will probably want to bring Timberland’s backs back.

One thing to help you if you want to get married one day… try losing some weight. Fact is, most men (of whatever race) prefer a woman who is slim to medium-sized. But it seems to me that most black women are overweight (especially down south!).
So even among black women, the slimmer ones are always going to have a better chance of getting married than one who is overweight or obese. (Not trying to be negative here, just keeping it real with my peoples.)

There’s no survey or poll that’s been done on this, but I think I can say with confidence that the percentage of women 120-160 pounds who are married is significantly higher than those who are 200-240 pounds. Obviously you don’t comprehend well, or you just see what you want to see)

Whether you intended it or not, your comments came across as a personal criticism directed at black women specifically, and you weren’t trying to make a point out of concern for the health of sisters.

During a recent Meet the Press interview, Dr. Alvin Poussaint did address some of the factors that have contributed to the high number of black children who are born to single mothers. The funny thing is, his comments mentioned nothing about the weight of black women. This is from an interview transcript:
DR. POUSSAINT: “Well, I think all kinds of things. Some of it has to do with the fact that things changed for women with the women’s liberation movement. In the past, there was a stigma if you had—a big stigma if you had a child out of wedlock. That’s not true anymore for, for white women or black women. So a lot of the black women do not feel compelled to get married. And then the other issue is the availability of black men and whether they’re eligible to be married. You have so many black men incarcerated, so many black men unemployed, underemployed. In colleges now, black women outnumber black men two to one. And so the chances of hooking up in a marital relationship in the way our society works is more difficult. So I think that’s changed as well.”
Just some food for thought.
Also, for anyone who’s interested, NBC Nightly News will air a series starting Monday on black women and one of the segments will center on relationship issues facing sisters, including the gender disparity in education. Another segment will explore the increase of interracial mariages among black women. It should be interesting.
