Should Jay Z be standing against Barneys because he’s a Black man?
Black Barneys Shopper Disappointed In Jay Z
We recently reported that the 19-year-old Trayvon Christian was racially profiled at Barneys while buying a $350 Salvatore Ferragamo belt. However, following the purchase, he was stopped by undercover officers that were allegedly called on by a Barneys sales clerk who believed the transaction was fraudulent.
Jay Z has found himself in hot water as people began to question his motives when he did not immediately renounce his collaborative charity project with the high-end retailer.
The 19-year-old is now blasting the rapper for not standing up to the racist high-end retailer:
“I thought that he [Jay Z] could relate to what had happened…to what happened to me.”
When asked if he’s disappointed Jay Z decided to keep working with Barneys, he says:
Trayon’s attorney says Ferragamo has stepped up to the plate and did the RIGHT thing by mailing him the same exact belt he was racially profiled over. Do you think Hov should be taking a stand against the store as a Black man?
