Black Detroit Woman Shot & Killed While Seeking Help
With just two months since the tragic death of former Florida A&M student Jonathan Ferrell, another Black person seeking help after an auto accident was shot and killed. Renita McBride, a Detroit teenager, was shot and killed after authorities say she may have been looking for medical assistance in an outlying suburb. McBride, 19, was in a car accident around 2:30 a.m. last Saturday (Nov. 2) in the Dearborn Heights area, her family says. They add that McBride’s cellphone died and prompted her to seek help in the neighborhood not far from where her automobile was wrecked…
