Items belonging to the late Luther Vandross will be sold next month by a New Jersey auction company. Items from his homes in Los Angeles, New York, and Connecticut to be auctioned off include stage costumes, credit cards, a driver’s license, handwritten song lyrics, a Versace coat and 400 pairs of shoes.

When I was growing up my mom would keep Luther on repeat. She would play it so much that I used to say I couldn’t stand Luther. I didn’t appreciate his music until I went to college. That’s what “real” R&B is supposed to sound like…SMOOTH

R.I.P. Luther. we were blessed to have had one of the most beautiful voices of our time. he will be missed! thankfully I can just play his CD close my eyes and let that heavenly voice take me awayyyyyyyy.
