This sounds a little suspect, but Tyra doesn’t want to take it all off for the fellas—her hair that is:
The supermodel is said to be very “insecure” about her hair and refuses to spend the night with men because she doesn’t want to remove her long fake locks in bed.
A source said: “Tyra is a confident woman for the most part, but she is really insecure about her hair. She doesn’t want any guy to see her without her wigs or hair extensions. Tyra feels like guys are with her for her image that they see on TV and in magazines. If one wakes up without her glamorous hair, she’s worried he may not call back!”
Anyone who has seen the movie “Higher Learning” has seen her real hair anyway, so what’s the big deal? So much for the “So What?!” campaign.

I don’t do wigs but I’m sure that years of covering up the natural hair and glue would damage the hair almost beyond repair. She needs to change it up some… her beautician should now better even if Tyra doesn’t.

It doesn’t make much of a difference. The relationship oriented man would be turned off as soon as she opened her mouth. Have you heard her try to have a decent conversation with anybody on her show. She’s coached beyond belief. It makes her sound phony. I personally don’t wear weave/wigs. What brother you know don’t talk about black women? Just because they talk about them doesn’t mean anything. Most of the time its just comedy. And all of the brothers that do tend to think the fair skins and non-black women have better hair and skin, etc make up a small percentage of brothers so who cares what they think cause guess what? Most of the non-black women wear just as much weave/wigs as black women. The men are just not smart enough to know it. The older I get, the more I realize that men in general don’t care about the stuff that woman really stress about anyway. And, what sister you know don’t talk about black men? I do all the time but I love them to death.

The real issue is not the hair the real issue is that Tyra like many women spend so much time pleasing men..in their ideal images..Tyra is a model who is also a public figure that is a part of the problem..you think us everyday women got it hard to please men from our appearance..***** Beyonce barely can keep up her weight because her whole career is based off of image and it is sad..however men have ideal images that they have to keep up too..they think all women want a man with fat pockets, nice cars, etc…in that might not be the case for all women to like the superficiality lifestyle..also us women..we don’t know the likings/pleasures of ALL men..there are men out there who have different taste in women…so how can this ideal image of Tyra or any other celebrity female is the image that all men like when not all men like the same thing in a womam looks wise?..this is done by misinformation on both genders..this is not just a black issue..we all are trying to please each other as men and women but are all trying to captivate a single image that can be subjective to others..so in that case ladies and gentlemen..please have confidence in yourself..and don’t try to seek confidence from others because you would be miserable like these celebrities..lol

I think that Tyra is a great business woman and I have nothing but respect for her and any career venture she wants to get in. It is sad that people nitpick Black women so much about their hair. The truth is most people in Holloywood wear fake hair. Paris Hilton use to wear fusion extensions and look how damaged her hair looks.I’m sure it is hard for Tyra to see herself without the fake hair because she let America convince her she was their special Black one. In a recent article in Essence Nia Long talks about “hair”. She explains that the reason why she wears fake hair is because the hair stylists are often White and do not know how to do Black hair. Personally I think it should be in these stylists job qualifications to learn how to do ALL types of hair or they shouldn’t get their license.

I can’t say I believe a word of this, it’s not like Tyra hasn’t been seen without it and she isn’t blad by any means…Why is weave *****ociated with black women anyway, the difference is “people” think we can’t grow hair ( I know I can) take a look Parasite Hilton, Jessica Simpson, Brit Spears, Kim K…. I can go on and on. They’ve been doing it for a long long time in a lot of cases to thicken really really paper thin hair.

I think people should value their self esteem on their ability to love themselves and love others.
People should love themselves in their season and out of their season. One season, a woman may be very beautiful to others. Another season, when she is older, she may not seem as beautiful to the same people who once said she was beautiful. But the woman still loves herself in season and out of season.
Loving others should be about building other people up on self esteem. The reason I say this is, I believe how people each other is how they treat themselves. If a person loves themselves, they will realize the blessing and happiness one receives behind having the correct self esteem. If a person has to constantly tear down someone, based on looks, then it’s highly probable that they too base alot of their self worth on how they look to themselves.
Criticism is one thing, but hate is another. If people are so programmed to ‘hate’ others, then does it indicate most of us, as a people, have low self esteems, in some way, shape, form, or fashion?
I surmise by reading these posts, we do, and that’s sad.

Okay, I just logged onto Bossip, travelled all day to Minnesota and without reading all the comments, I can say this sounds like B.S to me. These “sources” are always suspect!! My man loves it because he can pull and tug that ***** and then throw the wig on the floor, after we wake up from a night of hard crazy sex i put the wig on, fix, wash and go! He loves it because when I get my own her we gotta be a little on the gentle cycle so i won’t sweat my hair out, then he gotta come out of his pocket some more!

I think what Tyra is sayin sounds a lil silly but nuthin too shocking. Iv heard some women b4 say they dont feel comfortable letting a man see their real hair, its sorta similar to women who can never be seen wivout makeup. I do think its sad she feels that way, but hey, u gotta let the real u come out sooner or l8r(espec to sum1 ur in a relationship wiv), i mean, thats a lot of upkeep! I know har hair looks better on ANTM than ever before in her life. She makes sure her hair is laying. She does mention her forehead alot and how she has a complex about it! Tara is not perfect and she does allow some of her secrets to come out, but those that know her since the beginning of her career, knows she was teased about that forehead. Wouldn’t you wear a wig if your hair never grew!?

Oprah is opinionated and has had the talk show genre on lock for almost two decades. Plenty of men would kill to date her. “Why” you may ask. Because she can hold a conversation. It shows in the fact that she knows how to conduct an interview. Tyra may be opinionated, but so are most of the women I have met in my life. It doesn’t mean that they should all have their own talk shows. Like I said, she is so coached that it sounds phony. A real man can look past her hair. It would take a lot more to look past her personality (or lack thereof).
