Dr. Donda West was betrayed by her hairdresser who used her death as an opportunity to profit from a voicemail she left requesting some cornrows before her surgery. In the voicemail, Dr. West says she is getting everything done, “from my neck to my knees”. SMH.

Agreed. How can Bossip say that it supports his family, then post the voicemail? I mean, c’mon-they are validating why the hairdresser sold the tape in the first place. To get famous. You can’t blame the hairdresser for “making” Bossip post a link to the voicemail. They should do what is RIGHT-not what it going to attract site visitors. ESPECIALLY since Ye’s family has made it very clear (!) that they didn’t want this kind of info leaked out , gossiped about or to have his mom’s memory tarnished.
They could talk about what the hairdresser did WITHOUT posting a link to the tape. There is a way to report this and not support the actions of the hairdresser.

Reading some of these comments shows how easy it is to get black people unfocused. i’m still trying to wrap my brain around it. my father p*****ed away last year to stomach cancer and i still call and listen to his greeting on his voicemail at work. i feel warm when i hear his voice. if there was an audio out where he was saying he was preparing for surgery the following day, it wouldn’t bother me. maybe if he was saying he was terrified and had a bad feeling about it. but ms. west didn’t say express any fear. i’m gonna call my sister and see what she thinks. but i really feel like the message was pointless. she didn’t say anything worth paying for in my humble (yes scorpios can be humble) opinion.

The stories are wack, we’re judging peoples wardrobe for crying out loud. It may as well be a fashion hit or miss site. No new music reviews, no black movie reviews, no real dirt on people. Just who wore it better, looked more banging, oh these two people took a picture together so they must be dating, and nothing truely entertaining. You’re probably referring to me. I said the thing about the movies, with the reviewing and so on and so forth. Anyway, you’re probably not lying, but I’m very limited in my web browsing. I go to CNN, yahoo, bossip, my local news stations sites, some work related sites, I google occasionally, mapquest stuff, branch off onto a hot mess (they are funny by the way), concrete loop, but they are ridiculously slow loading, sometimes ybf. Anyway, not to give away my work day, the difference between bossip and other black blogs is that they are very limited. Others vent out to music reviews, sometimes movie reviews, and it’s nice to see the reader commentary on that, not so much what the publisher thinks. They’re not many black movies anyway. Bossip could be my one stop shop if they just see my list!!!

Me, too. Very busy. And go to several sites. As for me, I’ve moved away from R&B a lot and only hip hop sometimes (Ima househed myself) but anyway I hardly ever open video and Youtube stuff. So, im not gonna go to a site, listen to a tune, and read what others and the publisher say about it. Ima come here, look at a picture (and prolly won’t click onto the thumbnail pix), read a bit of narrative, laugh and glimpse through the comments. If I wanted movie reviews or music reviews I’d go to a place where they do it.

Some said they wouldn’t be back but I already see posts from them today on this site, so that all the threats to leave are just a bunch of bull. Kanye will be back too. No amount of surgery would have ever changed that face, look at Star Jones, she survived the surgery but looks pathetic. What message is that for beautiful black women around the world. She was in a position of trust and because of that she should have been taking the lead to show our women that surgery is not neccesary, you can still live in this world and progress the way you were born.

well, i listened to it and it sounds like the recording was doctored up, the beginning sounded like her, but then you could hear a pause in the sound and a different voice comes on saying the rest of that mess.
