Now Bow Wow says he regrets his little gaylord session with Soulja Boy:

Rapper BOW WOW regrets his brief war of words with chart rival SOULJA BOY – because the pair’s behavior was so “out of character”.
The Like You hitmaker, real name Shad Moss, and rap newcomer Soulja Boy posted a number of video posts on YouTube.com earlier this year, in which they took shots at one another’s lyrical and street credibility.
But the pair decided to squash the argument and put an end to the insults after coming to their senses and realizing how meaningless their fall out was. And Bow Wow, 21, wishes they had never stooped that low because he feels he betrayed their young fans.

He tells BET’s 106 & Park, “Me and Soulja’s situation that we had. There’s no situation. It’s just a friendly challenge that hit a u-turn and went down this street that it shouldn’t have went down.

“For us to even do that for the kids and for the people that look up to us, it was just really out of my character and out of his character for us to just display that ignorance like that. I’ve been put on this earth to entertain my people; to make them scream and holler and not display BS (bulls**t). That’s my homie. He’s getting money with me, so for that I can’t knock him.”

Sounds like Bow Wow took some sound advice from his PR team. Thank the lawd – all that high school bullshyte was tired as f*k.

@ Eryca That’s the problem with Little Bow Wow he tried to leave what made him famous, good little boy rapper for the young kids who don’t want to be thugs to look up too. He wanted to go hard and follow the crowd. He said he wanted to take over Will Smiths spot. Well he messed up when he went hard and put all that ***** on his body. Will Smith did not change he stayed true to Will, And look at him today. To all you wanna be Rappers out there, There are some families that don’t want that hard core thug Rap for their kids. So it’s a market out there for clean rap, enough to make some money. Like Mike, A Hit, All the little raps before a hit, People lost respect for Bow a little when he tried to be somebody he was not. Also, he needs to show his fans a little more respect when he meets them in person. The little ones. They are the ones who brought your music.

Bow wow was so concerned about being pigeonholed that he changed so drastically that he alienated his initial audience and those fans aren’t going to come back. There will always be “girls” who like him cause they think that he’s cute and he is but that doesn’t mean that they are going to buy his records and I think that he is realizing that. His flow is not terrible…(see gucci mane for that) but his peers still see him in his like mike days..

Both of you should just keep making better music. I never liked Soulja Boy, or Bow Wow. Short dudes have too much to prove and they have their Napoleon underwear on, but the “Kiss me through the Phone” joint by Soulja Boy is nice. Your music should mature with age as you should. It should never be black on black with a white record execute pulling the strings and both of you being the Puppets (I tell 50 Cent the same thing) . The situation has already been played out for you Bow Wow, Soulja Boy, for me, the world and for music with the loss of Biggie and 2 Pac. So truly think about what you are saying and doing.
