Women Busted On Brazil Flight Smuggling Cocaine Into Spain Under Wigs

SMH… Long hair ought care now. A pair of Portuguese women were caught smuggling several pounds of “snow” into Spain under their wig pieces.

According to NY Daily News reports:

Two Portuguese women have been busted smuggling a combined 5.2 pounds of cocaine into Spain under their wigs.

The suspects, aged 18 and 28, were arrested after arriving at Madrid-Barajas Airport on two separate flights from Sao Paulo last week.

Both allegedly carried the narcotics under fake hair, which had been sewn onto a black plastic cap.

They then taped the cap to their head to hide the drugs. Each carried 2.6 pounds in six smaller packages.

A police spokesman said the method was “very difficult to detect given the realism of the fake hair.”

“The packages were perfectly adhered and did not stick out from under the wigs, which made the narcotics imperceptible,” a statement added.

Hmmm so how did they get caught if it was so difficult to detect? Guess they don’t want to reveal that in case other mules get any ideas.
