It turns out King Bey and Hov’s karaoke night in Miami was a group outing! New details have emerged from the evening.
According to US Weekly reports:
Grammy-winning icons, they’re just like Us! Beyonce and Jay Z had a fun-filled night in the early morning hours of Wednesday Jan. 8 at the Miami karaoke bar Sing Sing.
Queen Bey, 32, and her husband of five years, 44, visited the local bar around 12:15 a.m. and brought Destiny’s Child alums Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams in addition to Timbaland and about seven others with them.
But before the A-List crew had their own fun, Beyonce and her DC-3 ladies made several fans’ nights.
“I was showing Beyonce how to work the remotes and she asked me where the music that was playing [in a separate room] was coming from,” Sing Sing owner Kellie Pilicer told Us. “And I said ‘Oh don’t worry, it wont bother you.’ And she said ‘No, I want to see who is singing my song.'”
It turns out three girls in a nearby room had been singing Beyonce’s 2011 hit “Party.” The mother of Blue Ivy Carter (who turned 2 years old one day before!) walked down the hall to the girls’ room. Though the singing fans didn’t initially recognize the chart-toppers, the girls invited them in to sing and dance.
“Beyonce and Michelle started singing and dancing with them,” Pilicer continued. “They were also videotaping the whole thing. These girls had no idea it was them for the first couple of minutes. It was cute.”
One of the girls’ friends had passed out on the coach and Rowland, 32, and Beyonce photobombed the sleeping girl before leaving the room.
Destiny’s Child last reunited onstage in a buzzed-about Super Bowl performance in February 2013, although Williams, 33, and Rowland make a memorable cameo in Beyonce’s “Superpower” video from her smash titular fifth album. Beyonce is currently enjoying some time off from her Mrs. Carter World Tour before it resumes in Europe in late February 2014.
