Jay-Z is An Emotional Guy

Jay-Z recently spoke on dealing with his father’s death and his relationship with Beyonce:
“When I was young, the person I looked up to most was my father, and once I experienced that hurt, the separation from the guy you thought was Superman, you never want to feel that hurt again.” And now Jay-Z is convinced his relationship with Beyonce has improved as a result of his emotional bravery. Jay-Z says, “I’m sure she thinks I’m closed off. I’m working on it. Just trying to deal with emotional issues, taking them on proactively. Before, I wouldn’t even address it.”
Well at least he’s making an effort, but there is still no reason for non-gentleman like conduct in the photo above. Maybe it will take another tragic event for her to get some chivalrous action going.

Props to Jay to admitting that having issues with your father can lead to serious communication problems if not addressed. In our community we act like fatherlessness is not a big deal. But it hurts the kids to not know who their daddies are…I don’t care if you’re superwoman…balance is balance..and a child without a daddy is imbalanced.

To be honest, I think both Shawn and Beyonce have walls up. I feel that if you have to WAIT 5 years to express things that a you could have said earlier in a relationship to someone you SAY you care about, then maybe that person is not really someone you FEEL you CAN open up to in that manner, and you need to reevaluate the whole relationship. Maybe it is time to stop the charade, Shawn and Beyonce.

I congratulate him workin on his emotions. You dont just leave a realtionship at a drop of a dime. Everyone has a reason for things they do in life & if your reasons are legit you cant knock them. If thats the case many of us would have left in the beginning.
I applaud Jay for working on himself to be a better man but Jay has ALWAYS seemed pretty distant from everyone. I’ve figured this before he got with Beyonce or made it public with her. I feel you Jay Z. My father left early on too and I didn’t go to his funeral and I am dealing with that now. You are a Sagitarius you will never be completely open to anyone. It is just not in our nature. My birthday is three days from yours and I am sure you have had alot of relationships fail because people felt you were closed off. It just comes with who you are.
