Two things to say:
1. I think it is possible to speak proper English without changing her entire voice.

I didn’t find anything wrong with the way she spoke. I think she spoke slowly so that her words didn’t get lost in translation because you can tell she’s not use to speaking proper. I would definitely give her a C+ for effort.

Lil Kim is no different from first time English learners they often speak slow and pause a lot to try to make sense.

Lastly, some black people often equate speaking proper to wanting to be white. The first thing people judge when they see you is your appearance and the way you “speak”. First impression is the last impression!!

I’m glad she’s trying to elevate herself instead of living in a bubble

There is nothing wrong with using proper english, but it sounds like lil kim is trying to completely change her whole tone of voice. It sounds like her tongue is too big for her mouth. That’s not her natural voice.
And even though there is nothing wrong with change, that doesn’t mean change into a completely different person from what God made you. Lil Kim doesn’t have any friends! Someone should have told her that she was messing herself up. I remember when she was a cute little girl; looked like a little chipmunk chipmunk,( don’t mean that in a bad way). I don’t understand what is going on with that. That refers to her face. Her body outside of the breast can most likely be attributed to maturity i.e. weight gain and age you know.
